Algolia is one of the fastest searches out there. It's better than any defaults that come in a CMS. I've replaced our search defaults on Zendesk, Shopify, and Wordpress with Algolia. Generally, the search accurately delivers the results indexed for the queries without much effort from our dev team. The instant search is a wonderful user experience for customers on our site that involved minimal development work on our side. The system keeps search records up to date without our team having to spend a lot of time maintaining or managing the service. Honestly, it's one of those softwares that just work and you don't have to think much about. Their team does a great job of offering the best search software out there. It's easy for non-developer team members to add synonyms but the query rules/parameters require a bit more development knowledge which limits our team a bit in implementing customizations on the search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
