Algolia is a great service and toolset for crafting corp dev utilities and systems. With it we have been able to execute quickly on several developer efficiency efforts. Maintaining configuration sync amongst indices is not easy. I have many indices that all need to work in the same way (prioritization, synonyms, etc), and they each need to be configured and updated individually. Having common index configuration that can be shared is something that you can only do programatically, but this means you can no longer use the web interface.
