The 100kb file size limit for records can be a little difficult to work around. I understand the concerns behind not letting people "game" the billing system. However, it would be most optimal if users are billed additionally per >100kb record, rounded up to the nearest 100 and divided by 100. (e.g., a 140kb record would be 2x the price of a regular record because 140 rounded up becomes 200, divided by 100 becomes 2; similarly, a 540kb record would be billed at 6x the regular rate). For the most part is it just plug-and-play. It has good packages for integrating with Ruby on Rails and Laravel which makes firing data off easy. Being able to control search preferences inside Algolia rather than in code makes it easy to see what options are available but also tinker in realtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pricing - it becomes prohibitively expensive as the number of records goes up. This is a result of paying per record rather than paying for CPU capacity or bandwidth. For use-cases with millions of records I've had to consider other options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Multi query support to get as many response data objects without sending extra API calls, results in page speed optimization
- Easy to integrate on the client-side or the server side
- Easy to Configure the Searchable attributes, Faceting, Sorting mechanism from the Dashboard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Manually Writing Query, Maybe a UI based Query Builder in the Dashboard can be helpful which can filter the records on the go and we just copy the code and use it in the application logic
- There should be a way to rename the replica indices without detaching from the primary index
- There should be a way to take a backup of Configuration/Data of complete APP in Single Click Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Algolia admin console is incredibly powerful - you can create indices with ease, custom rules for search results, custom field weighting, fuzzy matching and so much more.

Pricing is a factor of 10-20x more than Typesnese. Despite the much bigger price, customer service is essentially non-existent. When you have a problem with billing and you get cut off, you are entirely on your own. While the AI/Machine Learning element might seem interesting ours just ended up with a completely unintuitive search where you would type in something expecting a certain result but instead see prioritised, something that was completely irrelevant. The downfall of the AI system is they make it easy to integrate, and you think "great, I'll be leveraging AI", but the reality is a bad experience for your users. It was a joy implementing Algolia, and once I got the hang of it, and got what I needed out of it, I was amazed by the speed of the service, and the ease of use of the web app. It's great to see so much gifted to us in the free tier plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It occasionally had smaller glitches, but mostly display issues on the web app (like text covering buttons), but nothing that could not be worked around easily. One bug downside: cannot search for the inexistence of fields/values. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
