Akeneo has a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily configure product data.
Akeneo offers excellent options and features for configuring complex product structures.
Akeneo provides powerful APIs that can be seamlessly integrated with different channels.
Akeneo includes unique features that are not commonly found in major e-commerce platforms, such as product completeness, tailored imports, quality scores, and workflows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Akeneo PIM focuses primarily on managing and enriching product information but it offers limited built-in analytics or reporting features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Scalability was vital at our company, we have many skus and products so we needed a solution that could really handle large volumes of data, though we have not tested the system to our limit yet, so far there have been no issues with our volumes whatsoever.
Moreover, the tool has an intuitive design, with point-and-click and drag-and-drop features which makes it easy to set up your initial architecture (both from a product data model as from product data migration point-of-view). Users find it very easy to use as well.
Thirdly, as we have an entire landscape of components, it was vital that Akeneo offers OOTB connectors to various tools. We have now set up an initial API connection to our target components and we are using various OOTB connectors such as the DAM connector. It is also a reassurance that Akeneo itself is investing in a robust connection model (we are not on the newest Data Platform yet, but looking forward to exploring the possibilities).
Finally, when things go well, a company is good, but where companies excel is when things don't function: there is a good follow-up of questions and issues, you can contact their helpdesk directly and there will be a follow-up with either a solution or a proactive addition to their backlog. This really gives the feeling that (customer) suggestions are being taken to heart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When working in a complex architecture, it is custom to have several environments such as production, test, development. There is no out-of-the-box feature to quickly deploy new features to another environment.
We managed by setting up several export profiles and while this does work, a more user-friendly and especially holistic model should be set up.
Some features are great but can still be fleshed out more: the ability of following up the completeness and quality level of your enriched products is great however not flexible enough, users who want to tweak this themselves will be disappointed. Same with the automation rules: a great tool but I would like to see more features added (complexity in formulas, ect...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The channel-specific (scopeable) attributes provide good functionality. Also, when we had issues with the API, their leadership stepped up and had us meet with Akeneo's technical team to share our concerns and they provided a fix in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some functionality is lacking. For example, there is a workflow engine but it's very basic and does not allow field values to be updated based on logic. Additonally, the rules engine only runs 4x daily and this is not configurable. As we have downstream systems that rely on the product information stored in Akeneo, this is a huge inconvenience. Lastly, the history is kept at the product level but there is no report that shows you what was changed across all products during a specific timeframe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What i like th e most about Akeneo PIM is the fact that you can integrade it in any website, and the scaling possibilities are also a great way to keep growing. Bulk productmanagement is not an issue which is the main reason i use it to this day. Its Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What i dislike is that the connection between my site and Akeneo doesn't go flawless all the time and i need quite some coding experience to make it all work perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lo más útil es la versatilidad con la que se pueden crear y alimentar atributos, la ventaja es la facilidad para gestionar, alimentar y modificar los productos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is customizable for business which is nice. There are options and attributes for anything so it's all inclusive for business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Users definitely need an extensive training to get all benefits but Akeneo team offers great support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AKENEO has a large community, which is great when you're just starting out in the world of PIM.
The interface is intuitive and easy to use for beginners. The options are fairly comprehensive, and you can quickly make progress in managing product data.
With Akeneo, I appreciate the fact that I can quickly manage my products through mass actions as well as imports and exports. It's great to be able to access the tool from a URL.
The completeness of the products is interesting, but not necessarily complete in the community version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think it's a shame that the community version is so lacking in options, and that the gap to upgrade to a paid version is so wide. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to understand how complete the products are. The indicator is not always relevant.
I think it's a shame that, when exporting, you can't see the category name, only the code.
The AKENEO interface could use a little more customization, for example to make it easier to find an attribute when several have the same name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform performs well with a large number of products and bulk updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However, the user experience could be improved in certain aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can have ALL product related information in one place. As we're operating with approx 30 locales it's crucial for me to have ease of use, navigation, quality score, automations, workflows in one place. To keep an eye on data relevancy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First settings are challanging, but it's more a downside of our current product information structure, than Akeneo.
On the other hand I'm missing Drupal connector for easy intergration with our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
