I love the wide variety of functions available to me in a single tool. It's so much easier to train new team members and manage disparate processes when everything relies on Active Batch. I have most often used it to automate the execution of a sequence of SQL stored procedures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most challenging part of using Active Batch for me is figuring out which steps are the best ones to use for certain jobs. For instance, there are a few different steps that seem like they can be used to accomplish the same purpose of doing something like running a SQL stored procedure. I still have a lot to learn so a lot of it is still a bit unintuitive for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Work can be centralized and managed in one software. For most IT tasks, you can design a job from simple steps in the library. You can also queue jobs to run in pools of queues. The software is easy to use and improves reliability as well as efficiency. Job schedulers are readily available for Unix-based systems, or on Windows and other platforms when agents are used. Some bugs in UI make the site confusing to use. Some features in UI may not be useful, and some documentation is hard to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Updating to ActiveBatch V12 SP4 had a lot of issues errors from previous SP3, that should have been corrected in earlier service packs. Updating to V12 SP5 was seamless and no issues that I have found in SP5. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
