What do you like best about ActiveBatch Workload Automation?

Incredibly powerful orchestration software.

Centralize all the enterprise back office automation in one place.

Works steadily without any glitches.

Allows for complex workflows with cross plans triggers and constraints that encompasses multiple systems, on prem and on cloud.

Strong API support allowing to build transaction operations within the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveBatch Workload Automation?

The setup is delicate and time consuming.

This software has many dependencies on other vendors software versions.

Reporting platform is based on ReportingServices and is neglected by the vendor. I would prefer a tabular model and PowerBI instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ActiveBatch Workload Automation:

I recommend the use of AB Professional services for configuration of the software.

Procure seats at the AB University and encourage your staff to complete the training and get certified.

I would dismiss their Email only level of support as not productive, I recommend to subscribe to the Platinum support (or better) that allows Phone calls and remote interventions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ActiveBatch Workload Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?

With AB, We have been able to automate a number of operations that are taking place across multiple systems.

Some operations requires a mix of Operating systems tasks, API calls and ETL operations across multiple servers.

AB Plan based workflow solution gives us an overview of the entire end to end processes and statuses .

What was close to impossible or very manual, time consuming and error prone is now working in the background allowing us to spend time developing new projects instead of operating or maintaining processes.

AB is part of our strategy to hyper-automate our company Another segment of this strategy is the implementations of RPA.

Thanks to the API support we can use AB to orchestrate the unattended robots and use AB as central monitoring platform for all our processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to automate all of our tasks across multiple machines. The ability to grant our business users and technical users different levels of access to meet their requirements is invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have automated many different tasks, from database cleanup to file management and automating many different tasks that used to be done manually. We love the fact that all of our scheduling is in one place and jobs can be chained together. Also, the fact that our OnPrem can trigger jobs on our Cloud instance to complete the chain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have complex Ingestion routines with many steps chained together which then transfer data to the Cloud and load the metadata, Images, and Content into our Media Delivery platform (RBdigital). ActiveBatch gives us the ability to chain these jobs and give good error reporting if anything goes wrong.
