I tested it for a while, and now I'm permanently using Action1. It was essential to keep the OS and software on my company's computers and servers up to date, it has a friendly and incredibly easy-to-use interface, and the best thing is that it hardly uses OS resources; it's just an installed agent that does all the job. The app deployment service works very well and fast, I had no problems. I haven't seen any platform on the market that offers the first 100 endpoints for free; this was one of the crucial questions when choosing the tool. The documentation is also wealthy and detailed, easy to ask questions, and their support is incredible! I recommend using Action1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It only supports Windows OS. I hope they implement other OS's in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I needed a reliable patch management system to keep our laptops updated while allowing control of what updates got pushed to the systems. Action1 fits the bill nicely. It is intuitive and flexible, allowing for our own package creation and deployment as well as cutom scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far. It has been easy to implement and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Firstly the 100 Endpoints that Action 1 Provides for free is very generous. i have not seen any other RMM system do that. you get so much with this product. remote desktop. deploy apps. but i have to say its the Patch Management that is the feature that stands out for me. i have kept so many machines up to date remotely, and this has saved me so much time.
i am excited to see what comes in future versions of the product. i would highly recommend this to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
at the moment its just windows based. im sure in future releases it will supported other Os.
The remote desktop feature at the moment is limited. no file transfer options yet but again im sure that will come in a future version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that you can set a policy to install updates that will override Windows defaults so that updates don't bother our clients and updates still get installed, keeping our network secure. The remote desktop feature is also excellent, which will pop up a message on the client's computer asking permission to log in just in case they're in the middle of something. After 15 seconds (can be changed in advanced settings to a shorter time) will connect anyway in case no one is at the computer to allow the connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I want more control over users. I have a few other staff helping me, but they don't know as much as I do and can break things. The only thing I want to give one of the users is remote access to a specific computer. I don't want him messing with anything else at all.
Also, when you hit the login screen, it always displays at the bottom, "This site uses cookies to ensure you have a great user experience. By using this site, you accept our Privacy Policy.". Just a bit odd that it always asks. Likely something isn't being saved in a cookie. This isn't an issue for me; I figure the developers might like to know. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We searched for software to aid in patch management and deployment of apps. Action1 is an easy-to-use but potent tool; from setting own apps to updating the repository of apps, a policy is made in about a minute, and the endpoints don't notice a thing. The silenced install works well even on poorly prepared .exe's and is perfect since we have mechanics with specialized software that want to do their duty and do not care about updates or installing the new software. The 'IT just works' attitude can be met with Action1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some descriptive wording in the UI does not always give the initial impression of how you can use it. A call with Action1 support guided me step by step on how to do automated deployment of apps based on groups, but the usage of 'frequency' for automatic deployment in onboarding was something I didn't think about on the first try. Action1 enables us to patch all our endpoints even when they are off-network or not domain-joined. It also automatically deploys other security software according to our policies, ensuring we have complete coverage. They have listened to our feedback from using the product and have implemented several features we have requested. Prompt and helpful support! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They have some great features on the roadmap that will significantly improve the product. One key feature missing right now is a patch management dashboard. It will be nice to have a dashboard where we can see KPIs and know the patch status across our systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With Action1 we were able to deploy third-party applications and OS updates very fast to all our devices, even if they are not connected to a VPN or a business network. Also, Action1 is doing so more than that with the ability to deploy custom scripts/ apps, so our IT Department is now providing new hardware to our employees in a shorter time. Cannot say very much here; their support it's very responsive, and Action1 is releasing updates regularly with new features that are very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Action1 RMM provides the mechanisms for managing a fleet of Windows machines in a straightforward way for Administrators and in a completely transparent fashion for the end-users. It facilitates patch management, policy enforcement and the scheduling of tasks (including PowerShell scripts). It also allows the establishment of remote desktop connections in one click. Complementarily it eases the reporting tasks by using custom reports and automatically triggered alerts. At last, the free tier of up to 100 endpoints is a plus, making it easy to adopt for small companies that want a way to manage their resources, and it remains suitable as the company increases in size. The most critical downside is the Windows-only agent, which limits its usage in other OSes. Also, but no so crucial, there is no agent compatible with mobile devices (e.g. Android). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how simple and easy the dashboard is to use and manage my endpoints. Using the Action 1 product has helped me save time by deploying software applications and patches. I like the ability to connect to my endpoints. I am currently using another screen connection software that does not always connect. When I have an issue with using that other RMM product I fall back to Action 1 for remote connections and it works every time. The only reason I haven't replaced the other RMM with Action 1 for remote access is due to no file transfer option. Which I was told would be available in a later release. Very happy with Action 1. Would recommend it 10 out 10 times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much to complain about here. I wish the remote connection had a file transfer option. I was told that it is coming soon on a later release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
