Honestly, the fact that this is free for the first 100 machines is insane. What you get out of the box without any knowledge needed is insane. I have used many PSAs and RMMs and this is up to par with many paid products. I do not know the cost as I am under 100 but I would say that it is up to the task.
The system is super simple to get up and running and implemented. I believe within 30 minutes I had my first 5 systems reporting in and I only stopped to play with the console more.
The customer service is on point. I did have some questions after initial push and they were more than happy to get the answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That they do not have a FedRAMP High offering.
Programatic-wise, I do wish that it had some say console back-end access like CMD or Powershell.
Need a Linux client for those with Linux in the house.
Would be nice to have some way to add network devices for monitoring/SNMP information. I don't want to have to use another tool. Yes, this is also a pain point for modern RMMs across the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the price, the ease of use. The features, and the integrity of the company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really don't have any complaints. I've tested tons of competitors and this is the best Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The clarity and ease of setting up. Being able to see all the endpoints and what they are missing is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vulnerabilities without updates are difficult to handle. Action1 makes it easier but I still am confused on what to do with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 excels with its user-friendly interface, efficient patch management (I really like this; it's the reason I use them above all other features), and lightweight agent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The remote desktop, the lack of file transfer, and the copy-and-paste from the login prompt for the password drive me crazy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about action1 is the ease of deployment. All it takes is a simple, single installation and all is ready. After that installing updates, applying policies, and automating all of it becomes a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, we have not found a single thing to dislike about Action1. Meets and exceeds all our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The basics are easy to use, good overview of all clients and
A lot of Features, some of them I still need to discover :)
Free for first clients
Very, very easy implementation. Just install the client on notebooks and don't look back! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More advanced features are not directly visible, but I think it cannot be avoided because of the many features Action1 provides Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Found it very easy to get going with the platform and the console is clear. The free tier is generous and we upgraded as paying customer after a couple months. Dashboard well laid out to see where attention is needed, so when you log in you instantly see what to do. The focus is on vulnerability management and the patching has wide coverage, so the security focus helps. Good reporting functionality, even from asset management perspective. Clear roadmap on what their working on, so its good to see what is developed on. Communication helpful with webinars and tips etc. related to patching. API available for integrations that we are sure to still implement. Hits the mark on what we wanted to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a vulnerability/patch management platform firstmost, everything else is a bonus, so nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-It's free!
-Task automation
-Custom reports
-Easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue until now is the fact that the custom reports cannot classify numbers as numbers, but as characters. In that way, the sequency is like 1, 11, 2, 22, 3, 33 and it's confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 has allowed me to quickly setup patch management for my Windows fleet. Has also given me peace of mind in allowing all my machines to be a constant state from a single console.
The automation of patching has also made it some what a set and forget task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Proxy support for clients has been a new addition to action1 and took a little bit of setup to make it work with 3rd party patching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to see the specific vulnerabilities and CVEs on devices is really helpful for compliance - and the ability to remote in is reliable and simple
The ability to deploy to all devices on an On Prem Domain is also really useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I understand it's not an RMM but with a few more features it can definitely be used as one Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
