How do you position yourself against your competitors?

- Unlike many vendors offering patching as a “check-the-box” feature of their larger products, we zero in on patch management.
- We ensure uniform patching across all applications and operating systems, with real-time visibility that minimizes risks.
- Our cloud-native approach covers every endpoint, everywhere, with no bandwidth penalties, thanks to P2P patch distribution.
- First 200 endpoints are free forever: scale up at a simple, transparent, all-inclusive rate.

What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 is super user-friendly. I makes version control Easy, Bulk sofware removal Easy. Custom patching packages and streamlined patching configs while remaining intuitive and quick to navigate. Remote access to users PCs. Anything you can think of it seems you can achieve with Action 1 Bulk scripting and custom scripting, there is a builtin script library that covers most admin process you can think of and you can jsut push it out to multiple computers. What do you dislike about Action1?

Honestly nothing its a super useful tool one of the best I have seen in decades in IT. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Originally we got action 1 to bulk uninstall some vulnerable software that had been identified in a Pen test and with remote work it was proving difficult to achieve. Now we pretty much use it for everything It Patches both Microsoft and Non Microsoft Software and if there isn't a builtin patch for a particular software you can build a custom package and do version control super simple. Which has the knock on effect of greatly increasing our security posture.

There is also a really cool threat management CVE Dashboard, where you can filter by varying levels of vulnerability.

It's easy to do bulk installations and uninstallations.

Remote scripting is a really powerful addition. It has provided a way of completeing complex tasks remotely and easily and at scale.

Surprisingly the remote control functionality is really fast and seemless and has replaced the previous product we were paying for.

Overall, Action1 has an awesome array of tools that have saved loads of time and improved our efficiency it does so much for the money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Constantly updated with new vulnerabilities and application updates. New features introduced frequently, and based on feedback from a user-facing roadmap and suggestion/voting board. 100 devices monitored for free is an absolute steal of a deal for smaller orgs, and the pricing is reasonable for when you need to go larger. Implementation is extremely quick and simple. Integrates with most large SSO/SAML services (Google, Microsoft, Okta, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Support is only available via a Discord server, which feels a little unprofessional for an old-timer like me (haha). That said, as the workforce skews younger overtime that may end up being totally commonplace! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was hard to keep on top of vulnerabilities and patching in our environment. We need to be able to demonstrate NIST compliance. Now we have a crystal clear windows into all of our PCs and servers. Seamless remote desktop/support is also extremely useful, for when we need to do something more hands on, saving time for techs having to physically go to an endpoint. What do you like best about Action1?

I am a systems administrator amd love this software. It is very simple to use and easy to implement as well. I use it at least once per day for RMM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The features are the only thing that I think may be a bit lackluster, but honestly I prefer the ease of use and integration to having a ton of features I won't use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Action1?

Once you set up Automations it is almost hands free.

I set it to 3 days for all Microsoft critical updates as it gives me a chance to delay updates if MS mess it up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The new Vulnerabilities feature is not very useful as it picks up really old, ie 5 year old Intel updates that should never appear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Purely used as a Patch Manager as I use Screen Connect for Remote Support.

If they can improve that I could get rid of Screen Connect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Let's see: It could be the ability to update many programs, or it could be the ability to install a program remotely, or it could be the remote-access available to help a client. Maybe other things. It has a learning curve, but it's not terrible. Easy to install, easy to maintain. We use it for many clients, even those with more than the 100 seats that are free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Sometimes, MFA can get in the way. But, it's a necessary thing, so one has to live with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

As the first 100 seats are free, it's an easy go-to when working with non-profit organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

It is easy to use and deploy throughout the entire domain. The dashboards for patch management and vulnerability management are very clear. We also appreciate the ability to add a custom software repository and scripts to run on the endpoints. Additionally, we like the option to use it as a remote tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I don't like that there isn't more gradual control over who can use the remote desktop option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 allows you to use the entire platform for free provided that you use less than 100 endpoints.

You can deploy updates to any endpoint, customize what is deployed, when its deployed and it also provides the ability to deploy and run Powershell scripts.

For an entirely cloud based tenant (no on-site servers) besides doing it yourself via intune which requires a lot of manual work it really is one of the best soultions for no cost.

Enrolling an endpoint is as easy as installing an exe during setup which you can automate via something like autopilot.

We use it 99% of the time when we need programs deployed and it's always incredibly easy to deploy what we need. We can also load customised applications with our own /s switches allowing us to automate a lot of our software suite.

It requires almost no work to implement and integrates with things like Azure easily to pull profile information for the machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The primary problem is just the limited amount of software within the included repository which is understandable as we're able to deploy it all for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows us to connect to the machines we need when end users are having issues to solve. It also allows us to push automated patches on the schedule we want and remove any unapproved softwares silently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

I have found that I use, or will use, every feature of Action1. After trying out many other RMM solutions and not being convinced, even with some of the big expensive ones, in comparison, Action1 is the big player.

Being able to track all endpoints, or just a set few, or just one, saves a lot of time. I am able to deploy updates and software as and when it is needed. Instaling operating systems has become seamless with the customising of apps and scripts combined, it is possible to sit back with a coffee and watch Action1 work it's magic from start to finish with just a few clicks needed. Custom detections and alerts can be configured to suit requirements. I am very happy that it does exactly what I was told it would do, unlike other RMM software. Action1 is very flexible, reliable and economical. I cannot see myself changing to anything else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Nothing I dislike. Like anything there are always improvements that can be made and from what I can see, the team is always actively working to improve the software. I will have my own suggestions that I will put forward but they would just be convenient things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Action1 is helping my company manage endpoints from various businesses and individuals. It allows me to separate them and manage them individually or in mass. To handle larger companies, creating a new organisation easily helps keep things separate while quickly being able to switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
