It's free for the first 100 endpoints, which is awesome. I am a small start-up and every little bit counts. Having said that, I enjoy its features, and in the last year I've used it, the features have improved and more have been added, and I really appreciate the roadmap they provide.
I often see members of their team active on forums for MSPs offering support or guidance when things may not be clear. Even though I may not be paying for Action1 now (due to being under 100 endpoints currently), I do intend to keep using A1 as I grow and add more endpoints to my business. I think there is a bit of a learning curve, but that comes with every software. Not every feature is entirely intuitive, but support from others online has been able to overcome that aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visibility into vulnerabilities and patches available, but the ability to do something immediately about these and have peace of mind your endpoints are safe. It is simple to deply and the integration into Active Directory has made deployment a breeze. It captured a devices we didn't even have on the inventory, but now uptodate and catelogued. I love the free version for upto 100 devices. We are using 90 devices, but with the success so far I'd definitely look at paying when we reach capacity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes deployment of patches might fail for sensible reasons, but this can be irritating. Also it locks out local profiles, so you can't use delprof of even manually remove old profiles, however there is a script you can run through Action1, but this doesn't always work. Action1 is really easy to deploy software and scripts, giving the system administrator more control and reduces Shadow IT.
Action1 is simple enough for people to use and you can implement action with ease Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when connected to certain computers using the VNC remote session is that it doesn't scale well with Server Standard (No GUI) resulting to having to use Remote Desktop in Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a cyber security professional helping schools meet the strict Department for Education (DfE) cybersecurity standards, I know budgets are tight. These standards require fast action on vulnerabilities – patching critical ones (CVSSv3 score 7+) within 14 days and zero-day attacks within 3 days.
After looking at many expensive options, I found Action1. They offer 100 free endpoints (and a bonus for Tech Tribe members!), making them affordable and easy to use.
I was confident in my ability to keep devices updated, but Action1's thorough scan revealed vulnerabilities I'd missed. There were some challenges updating Teams and Zoom for individual users, but Action1's helpful support team worked with me to fix them quickly, ensuring critical vulnerabilities were addressed on time.
Overall, Action1 is a great solution for managing patches, assets, and vulnerabilities. While I haven't used their remote support features yet, the rich set of features and ability to meet all my needs makes me confident recommending them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some apps are missing, but I believe that Winget, Ninite and Chocolatey updates are in the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After using 2 other competitiors products, and just not getting the results I needed - this product has made it much easier to maintain compliance.
- there is no internal server to manage, the product is fully implemented in the cloud, and only firewall rules needs to be configured
- Agent deployment is a breeze
- Frequent product updates are deployed autoamatically.
- 2FA through DUO Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting could be better. (monthly intervals would be best for end-of-month reports)
If this is also trying to be a "vulnerability" scanner (it is reporting vulnerabilities) - an onsite scanner for non-windows devices may be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is free for up to 100 endpoints; the learning curve for basic functions is nonexistent. You can test it out to your heart's desire.
Customer support? I never needed it; it just works.
Ease of implementation - very straightforward and easy.
Ease of integration - integrated into my fleet without any issues.
I use it every day, but only because I have some OCD probably; all the patch management can be automated without breaking a sweat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not sure; it does what it is designed to do very well. At the beginning, there was a problem with the login form; it always defaulted to US servers, but it has been fixed for at least a quarter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easily configured scheduled updates of not only Windows Updates but also all of the major 3rd party apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remote access to MacOS is not available yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Action1 has eliminated known vulnerabilities in my network. Before, I didn't know what was out of date, especially regarding non-Windows software. Knowing what is there and being able to very easily update and mitigate is so benefitial.
It is very easy to implement and to use and documentation and support are excellent.
The additional software and script deployment capability look useful as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
