Action 1 is a very easy to use platform to automate the deployment of security updates and patches across various operating systems and third-party applications Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no apparent dislikes or features which are less useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 is flexible in what it can do - between the platform supporting running powershell as SYSTEM on the end user device where needed, to a comprehensive application distribution platform, simple installation and onboarding, top notch support, even for the 100 endpoint base tier, there's very few limits in how and where it can be used in a windows environment. The remote support client leverages web browsing, which secures the process of remote control as it also limits how keyboard inputs are sanitized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The current platform unfortunately only supports Windows. I know there are roadmap plans to include support for other operating systems, but as of May 2024, those are still "roadmap" items. No notification on "when" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how they include a lot of 3rd part apps that they maintain a repository of updates for, test them, and release them for us to deploy to our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly haven't had any problems with Action1 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automations! Easily schedule scripts, Windows updates, etc! Configure your automations and let the system do it's thing, completely hands off! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Remediation actions for vulnerabilities should include options for uninstallation of affected software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's just so bloody easy. Coming from a couple other products that worked but took a lot of manual work to get end points patched. Allowing offline clients to catchup it huge. I don't have to worry about them or have to manually push it psyched when I catch them online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The scheduling around patch Tuesday could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Action1 comes with a built-in script library. This makes it much easier to fix problems on remote computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I need that is currently missing from Action1 is being able to remote into Apple devices. However, I know that this is on their roadmap. Once this is implemented, I canswitch to using only Action1 for all my computer remoting needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The patch management is easy to configure and quick to deploy. I spent around 2 hours setting up automations and the deployer and had it running flawlessly on our 70ish endpoints. I really like the weekly notifications keeping me up to date with any machines that will need more manual intervention. The end users typically understand and respond well to the prompts. Everything seems to be clear and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The vunerability remediation tools tend to actually not fix the issue for me. A lot of these stem from oer-user installs of programs by users that haven't used the machines in ages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 has been a god send in allowing us to manage workers regardless of their location, office, remote site, or working from home. It has allowed us to maintain excellent patch compliance of our operating systems and applications. The built in Software Repository makes it easy to deploy, manage and update applications. The script library allows for the team to develop and share configuration scripts that help maintain compliance to required configurations. Deploying the Action1 agent is seemless and robust. We have raised several feature requests and a couple of months later they have been added to the product, making our job much easier and the system use simplier. We would definitely recommend Action1 to anyone considering. Mike and the team at Action1 are incredibly responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From time to time we have challenges with the structure of the powershell code required to return the exit codes in the right order, but we generally over come them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
