Patching of O.S and various other software remotely on devices in different geographic locations, regular how to's from creators and included scripts. not to mention the build in remote desktop connecion that is super fast and responsive. Mitigating risks with controls and update approval. deploying the agent is super fast. Setup of automations or using provided automations makes lfe a breeze. Customer support is very helpfull and responsive
Best of all 100 devices are completely free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 does not have any downsides, it is a win win situation for any company, especially non domained joined devices scattered all over the counrty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first I was very skeptical, seriously.. they are going to allot a free 100 device license? They are true to thier word and this has saved me more time with patch management than I could ever have hoped. The product is relativily easy to use, feature rich and if I was in the position to the need I would be paying for this software. As it sits, I am still a no charge user and I love it.
I currently only use the software for patch management and remote control, however I can see where software installs would be made a ton easier with this product.
At the end of the day I want to say thank you to the developers and staff who make this possible. I truly appreciate you.
I haven't needed customer support.. as the product just works
I use the product nearly every day
Once installed it was easy to integrate, implement and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, whats to dislike? If there is something i dislike, its probably because I am using the product wrong. There was a time in the recent past where I had to name all of my actions because of an update that wiped out the automatic action naming - which was a little bit painful however they fixed it within a week or two and since then, there is nothing I really have an issue with.
I did notice a couple of things that might be worth mentioning, not sure how much it will really effect anyone. With the agent installed you cannot delete profiles off of the client computer - if I need to do this, I simply uninstall action1 and reinstall it.
I also wish that I could permentaly skip an update for a single client easier... There was a patch from microsoft back in Jan that would simply not install on some of my clients. So it stayed as a needed update and would fail every time I tried to install it. I didnt want to turn off the patch for the entire site, so it was a tad annoying to see it and remember to deselect it every time I went to do patches.. Not the end of the world by any stretch..
Overall this is as close to a 10/10 as you can get, if you are on the fence.. just do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Action1 is an easy to use SaaS patch management tool that can also do software deployment.
There's a pre-built list of many common (and some not so common!) software packages that it is able to deploy/update, it's also able to handle Windows updates, drivers and BIOS updates.
For software that doesn't have built-in support, it's possible to add your own to the repository, including versioning.
Deployment of the Action1 agent is very easy - you can either run the .msi or you can run a deployer on a device (we use an application server) that queries Active Directory and attempts to deploy the agent to any endpoints that are in the selected OUs and not already in Action1 (alternatively you can simply provide a manual list of hostnames you want it to deploy to)
Additionally, it's possible to run standalone (i.e. not chained to a software deployment; though this is possible too!) scripts - there's a library of existing helpful scripts and you can add your own
Though we don't really use it, there's also a built-in remote desktop/remote control functionality.
Pricing-wise, at the time of writing, it's free for the first 100 endpoints, and competetively priced beyond that, vs other options in the market Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only grumble I've had so far, is that when reporting vulnerability remediation/update compliance, endpoints that have been offline since the patch or vulnerability disclosure will show as needing attention/overdue - it'd be nice if it were possible to filter these out, as in most cases these don't need attention and will get updated once they're next online (though it makes sense you'd want to see a list of these offline endpoints so you can validate they're expected to be offline) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Action1's interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate and configure. The ability to automate patch deployment saves time and reduces manual oversight. It handles a range of devices seamlessly, making it suitable for managing updates across different client setups.Real-time visibility into the update status and potential issues, enhancing proactive management. Reporting to my clients has never been issier making sure SLA and compliance are met, which is crucial for auditing and client communication.
Easy implementation is posible thanks to teh detailed documentation avialable. in case assistance is still needed Customer Support is alwas friendly and on point. While having multiple clients and many devices to be managed a simple glance allow you to see the status of these devices without the need of daily logins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some advanced integrations with other ITSM tools or systems might be limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how the filters work within the Automation settings, this enables fast and easy management of monthly patch releases, I also love how the Vulnerabilities are flagged up on each endpount, but also grouped together so they can be addressed easily. , The deployment of the system is so easy and the information it gives you on all your endpoints is very clear and concise.
I have been using it now for two months and it has given me great visibility on all my endpoints and our vulnerabilities, much better than relying on Windows updates alone.
So far I haven't needed to use customer support, it really is that easy if you have had any dealings with endpoint patch management in the past, I log in to it daily just to keep an eye on everything, It has every thing I need to see from installed software to installation histories on Automations and vulnerabilities as well as missing updates and a complete list of installed software in the estate.
Thanks guys, super product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
can't really think of anything I don't like, I mean I have free use of the product because my estate is less than endpints to manage so they let me use it for free. This system really does do waht you want it to. is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've tried numerous different products from the web, but Action1 has been the most hassle-free and user-friendly RMM tool I have had the pleasure of using.
This tool has saved me incalculable manhours in patching/deploying/managing numerous devices. The fact that the first 100 endpoints are free is a huge bonus too! - it allows you to test it on a small scale before fully adopting it across to your estate.
I was recommended this product by a friend who works in a similar role to mine, and it has been a real game changer.
The support team are also very helpful and friendly if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None so far, I have not encountered any issues with this piece of software - it has so far been a huge benefit for our growing company to ensure I can manage computers efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple et rapide toutes les fonctionnalités de mises à jour, de prise en main à distance, de scripts... tout est parfait! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aucune idée tout me plait je ne rencontre aucun problème Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use it for the Remote Patching/Updating as well as Vulnerability Management across a data restricted remote network. It allows me to keep control of what and when to push at my discrestion perfectly. Easy to use. Easy to push out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If anything just some cleanup on how Vulnerabilities are reported. I dont need to see 100 different lines reporting Microsoft Edge issues for each individual version personally everytime a new update comes out. Some way to combine into one line for out of date Edge versions would be helpful to the eye at least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Action 1 is a very easy to use platform to automate the deployment of security updates and patches across various operating systems and third-party applications Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no apparent dislikes or features which are less useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Action1 is flexible in what it can do - between the platform supporting running powershell as SYSTEM on the end user device where needed, to a comprehensive application distribution platform, simple installation and onboarding, top notch support, even for the 100 endpoint base tier, there's very few limits in how and where it can be used in a windows environment. The remote support client leverages web browsing, which secures the process of remote control as it also limits how keyboard inputs are sanitized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The current platform unfortunately only supports Windows. I know there are roadmap plans to include support for other operating systems, but as of May 2024, those are still "roadmap" items. No notification on "when" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
