We've been using Abacum for 6 months, and we've been able to cut down the time we spend on manual reporting and report creation to a small fraction of what it was. Abacum allows us to better connect our actuals and forecast, drill down into ledger/transaction-level detail, and connect multiple data sources to use in planning and analysis. The implementation team was great and got us up and running so we could do our full budget planning inside of 4 weeks. Where we've had complex situations, our customer success manager and support team help us figure out the best setup or workarounds. The team is also very willing to make product updates and add feature requests to the roadmap. Abacum is a transformative tool for us as we scale out our organization. It was easy to use and started providing value within days of kicking off implementation. It is intuitive but also powerful, which can be a difficult line to walk. It is allowing us to democratize our financial data and empower internal planning. The Abacum team is responsive and customer-oriented, but my favorite thing about the tool is that they're often not required — it's user-friendly for even those of us not overtly trained in data management but rather focused on the business KPIs. Customer Support is great, they are very quick to reply and help you to resolve any issues or doubts. The attention from Customer Success Manager is great, with structured monthly meetings and personalised approach.

Abacum is very open to any feedback and develop the product very fast making it much more easier to use.

The tool is quite flexible, so if a certain funcitonality is not yet developed there is always a way around it to serve our needs.

Customer Support has been outstanding, the tool is easy to administer, implement and rollout. The tool is very dynamic, easy to create reporting, modeling, etc. I like that they are constantly updating the software, looking for feedback on improvements, adding new features and their Abacum Academy has a lot of detailed instruction and best practices. The flexibility of creating models, structures, and reports is impressive. The way new items easily flow into the dimension structures and aggregations is remarkable. A static - or even a dynamic - Excel structure can hardly ensure this.

The implementation team was super supportive of all matters and came up with creative workarounds when needed. As of today, we have completely cut off our highly complex Excel-based planning and forecasting model and switched to Abacum, with the key stakeholders also on board.

Although the implementation team provides high-quality support, you also need to have at least a basic understanding of the system's logic and limitations to transform your old modeling structure to Abacum. Otherwise, you may have to rebuild certain parts again.

Several dynamic items are still missing: dynamic filters like Excel slicers, formatting limitations on spaces, and handy solutions to switch between planning scenarios. I hope these will be covered soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Abacum is an extremely powerful, easy-to-use, FP&A platform that can cover all of your budgeting and reporting needs. It has been very easy to implement and their support team has been top notch to work with. We have been able to integrate with all of our major platforms, pull in all necessary data, prepare dashboards (which they call "spaces") for leadership and department heads, and establish a much better budgeting process. We did an extensive search before choosing Abacum and are very pleased with our choice. Some of their competitors warned us about a portion of their team being based in Europe (we're a US-based org) but that has not been an issue at all. Our implementation team must work crazy hours because they've been very available to us despite the time difference. Also, we were warned about the need to write formulas in their modeling process but just as we were assured by our sales team, their formula syntax is very intuitive, easy to learn, and has not been a burden at all. Abacum is a modern planning and reporting software with a flexible approach to integration, modeling and usability. The platform is clean and easy to use by users.

As they are a new software company, some features still don't exist. They try to accommodate the best, develop as fast as possible and work on workarounds, but sometimes it's just not possible if it's an immediate/urgent need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very powerful reporting and analytical tool. It significantly reduces the time FP&A spends fixing reports, correcting errors and creating different views. It also allows for better exploring of our own data, something that is harder to do when simply using a spreadsheet. Connects well to key data sources which for a company like ours is Sage Intacct, Salesforce, BambooHR as well as Google Sheets etc. FP&A is now able to spend more time analysing and exploring and less time compiling reports.
