## Pigment Reviews
 ### 1. Power Pivot on Steroids—Intuitive, Modern Planning with Real-Time Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria M. | Senior Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigment is best described as Power Pivot on steroids—but far more intuitive and user-friendly. It combines powerful data modeling capabilities with a clean, modern interface that makes complex financial and operational planning much easier to manage. The real-time collaboration and scenario planning features are especially impressive, allowing teams to move quickly and make informed decisions without the usual friction of legacy systems.

Equally impressive is their customer support—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. Questions are handled quickly, and the team provides clear, actionable guidance, which makes a big difference when implementing or scaling the platform.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

As with any robust platform, there is an initial learning curve when building more advanced models. However, this is quickly offset by how flexible and scalable the system becomes once you are familiar with it.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment streamlines financial planning, forecasting, and reporting by centralizing data and making it highly dynamic. It eliminates the need for disconnected spreadsheets and manual updates, improving accuracy and saving significant time. The ability to run multiple scenarios and instantly see the impact has greatly enhanced our decision-making process.

 ### 2. Easy-to-Use, Visually Clear Dashboards with Powerful Filtering

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gowtham R. | Associate Manager, Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigments is easy to use and visually appealing. It’s very clear, and we’re able to filter using almost all categories. Even though we also use other tools like Google Sheets and other ATS platforms, we still push data to Pigments so we can get a much clearer view on the dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

You need to learn how to use Pigment, and it definitely has a learning curve.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment helps automate and consolidate a lot of data that would otherwise require a lot of manual work. It supports forecasting for roles and tracking them, and we’ve integrated it with our ATS, Ashby, which makes it easy to share information with our finance team. Having everything in one place is really helpful.

 ### 3. Reliable FP&A Tool with Robust Data Modeling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | Senior Accountant & RPA Developer/Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like Pigment's strong and stable data model, which helps us model data better and reduces the risk of mistakes. The embedded audit trail is another aspect I appreciate as it makes it easier to track who did what and when, along with storing more details and backups. I also enjoy the safer and easier communication Pigment provides, allowing us to set stronger access rights and avoid using Outlook to share Excel files. Additionally, the initial setup was easy enough with external support.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

It's challenging to implement for non-technical personnel. Modeling data can be quite difficult, especially with formulas. The functions, like the formula wizard, could be expanded.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment helps me model data accurately, track who did what with an audit trail, and improves secure communication. It prevents mistakes and avoids using Outlook for sharing confidential Excel files, with stronger access rights.

 ### 4. Pigment’s Multi-Dimensional Architecture Feels Like a Finance Game-Changer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

The best thing about Pigment is its multi-dimensional architecture combined with painless scenario branching. We only started implementation but the UI/UX and perfromance it enables might be a game changer for us in terms of one-stop-shop finance platform

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

The learning curve is steep - it is not "just like Excel." we needed to shift from a spreadsheet mindset to a relational database mindset that is dependant on dimensions

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment offers a one-stop-shop for all Finance personel for its budgeting tool, reporting and analyses tool. It has intgrations with multiple data sources and provides AI that could actually help slice-and-dice across the board

 ### 5. Streamlined Workforce Planning with Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I find Pigment very user-friendly. After doing the trainings and with some guidance, I was able to build the models in our applications. It's very intuitive, very easy to use, and even though it has some tips and tricks, you can always find help in the forums. I like that everything is in one place, which makes it way easier to analyze the data and work collaboratively. Now, we don't have to spend time reconciling and gathering data or updating files since everything is live and self-service.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

I think it's mostly changing the way you think. I'm working in finance, so I'm mostly used to working with spreadsheets. So changing that mindset of how formulas work in an Excel is not the same as formulas work in Pigment. That's one thing. And trying to adapt the needs of the business to what is available in Pigment. I think overall, I would have liked to have more examples of things other businesses have done or some guidance on how to do this. And, of course, the creation of boards, having more examples on how to create a nice board, how other people do it. That I would like.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pigment to centralize data from different sources, making analysis easier and collaborative. It saves us time by having everything live and self-service, avoiding data reconciliation and file updates.

 ### 6. Extremely Versatile, But a Challenge to Install

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jean-Baptiste B. | Senior Financial Controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

What I like most about Pigment is its versatility. You can really do anything you want with it if you have the ability to do so. For me, that's truly Pigment's greatest strength.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

What could be improved is particularly the visualization and graphics section, which is constantly evolving but still lacks diversity to truly cover all needs. Typically, the idea of having bridges or more possibilities, especially regarding data labels, colors, and types of visualization, would be appreciated.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pigment to measure my company's performance and track important KPIs daily. It solves the data limitations of Excel and Google Sheets. It's flexible and allows customization according to needs, offering a dedicated and precise view.

 ### 7. Streamlined Financial Planning with Pigment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louise D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like the look and feel of Pigment. I'm really impressed with what we've been able to develop in Pigment, such as integrated P&L, BS, CFS, and the creation of automated and tailored reports for different audiences. I can see at any point in time what the company's cash out date is and play with assumptions to see their impact, which is incredibly useful. The automated reports save me a lot of time, as I can use that time for other important and value-added tasks since everything is automated. The roadmap for Pigment is still full of promising ideas, which is exciting. While setting it up took time, I felt well-supported during the implementation process, thanks to the Pigment team.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

It's difficult to model if you don't spend enough time in the tool but with the modeler agent release last week, this should be fixed. Also, there is no direct connection between Pigment and Google Slides, which would be super helpful for presentations.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment solves manual processes, integrates financials, and offers version comparisons. It provides one source of truth, facilitates sharing with teams, and automates reports, saving me time. Integrated financials like P&L and automated reports give me clear insights and the freedom to focus on other tasks.

 ### 8. Beautiful UI, Fast Setup, and Helpful Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

beautiful UI, native integrations allow fast set up, support is very helpful, ai tools like modeler can help you build models in hours.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

the click downs aren't as useful as they make it seem

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

budget, forecasting, business transparency, fast updates, great performance

 ### 9. Efficient Customer Service and Intuitive Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like Pigment's intuitive solution that allows the creation of interactive dashboards where collaborators can input data. I appreciate the efficiency of Pigment's customer service. Regarding the features, I really like the division of the workspace into 'applications' that can communicate with each other. It is also possible to have multiple development environments, such as a development environment and a production one. I like the Playground which allows testing formulas before implementing them. The initial onboarding went well thanks to the self-training platform offered by Pigment.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

From time to time, certain calls to dimension table properties do not work, or some internal formulas in Pigment are not necessarily optimized and can cause timeouts.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment offers an intuitive solution for creating interactive dashboards where our collaborators can insert data. I appreciate the workspace division by communicating applications and the Playground to test formulas before implementation.

 ### 10. Dimensional Flexibility and Seamless Connections Across Pigment Apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin L. | Sr. Financial Analyst- On Contract at MRO Corporation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Dimensional flexibility and ability to connect to other Pigment apps, such as a datahub, with a formula.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Unclear initial guidance on expected token usage rates when using modeler and analyst agents.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing my client see more scenarios live, instead of using snapshots.

 ### 11. User-Friendly and Versatile, Outshines Power BI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like how Pigment is very user-friendly and easy to learn. It's visually very helpful, combining large sets of data from multiple systems and enabling easy visualization of information. The introduction of Pigment.ai has also made it more helpful in building applications and using them. Additionally, Pigment is hosting a large set of data that can't be easily managed in Excel, bringing multiple resources together in one place with just a click, which is a significant advantage.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Nothing specific so far

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment provides visibility with user-friendly reports, combines data from multiple systems for financial insight, and replaces Power BI by hosting large data sets, making it easy to visualize information.

 ### 12. AI-Powered Flexibility with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yahdih A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like that Pigment is AI-powered, providing flexibility and the ability to unify data on one platform. The agent model capacity is really beneficial, allowing me to handle multiple restitutions or P&L analyses with different analytical axes in seconds, which is something other tools don't offer. The initial setup of Pigment was easy.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

The drill down could be better if it takes all the selections into account. Selections of the board when drilling to another board.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pigment for unifying data in one platform, doing planning and inputs, and creating various analytical P&L reports quickly thanks to its AI capabilities.

 ### 13. Powerful Reporting Tool with a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vince P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like how Pigment serves as a source of truth for the FP&A team when it comes to reporting. The ability to look at multiple scenarios is useful for forecasting, and I really appreciate the Excel plugin, which is good for data analysis.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

I primarily don't know how to build formulas very easily, and the technical capabilities needed to build models and apps are challenging. The initial setup wasn't easy, and we had to use a consultant.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment provides a source of truth for the FP&A team, useful for reporting and forecasting with multiple scenarios. The Excel plugin supports data analysis.

 ### 14. An EPM that you will hopefully not hate

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

It makes life significantly easier and the environment / ui is pleasant to work in

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Pigment tries to solve everything - This means that the gap between a casual user and expert is significant (I.e., Rather large learning curve)

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Financial planning, reporting, automation, and data storage / intermediary.

 ### 15. Solid FP&A Capabilities, But Needs Performance Optimization

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I like that Pigment makes work less manual. Maybe the data structure makes managing large data sets easier.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

The web UI is slow, loading data is slow, and shortcuts are poor. The browser is not optimized. Honestly, I think it should be a software application instead of web-based. The initial setup is a slog with lots of UAT, and it's complicated due to our business model.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pigment for precise revenue forecasting, variance analysis, and opportunity mapping. It makes my work less manual and manages large data sets more easily.

 ### 16. Powerful, Flexible Financial Planning with Strong ERP Connectivity

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

The power and flexibility of financial planning and strong Data connectivity with our ERPs and systems. We have been able to integrate Pigment with our P2p and ERP.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

So far, I would only say the cost is elevated. But feature-wise, it is an amazing tool.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment has reduced the manual work of preparing FP&A reports and has drastically reduced the time of month to month financial close and also year end.

I use Pigment for financial planning and forecasting, and I really appreciate its ease of use and the design of the product. The AI capabilities in Pigment assist me in building and analyzing, and the AI chat is particularly helpful for answering questions quickly. The initial setup was easy, and I find these features beneficial for my tasks.

Sometimes a scenario doesn’t totally freeze and using a snapshot may not work with calculated items.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Pigment for long-term forecasting of the P&L and headcount planning.

Demand planning, scenario planning, S&OP/IBP

 ### 20. Next-Gen EPM Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olga N. | Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigment is one of the most flexible, modern-looking, and scalable EPM platforms on the market. Once implemented, its capabilities are limited only by your imagination. From territory and sales capacity planning to workforce modeling to demand forecasting, Pigment has enabled us to consolidate our planning and reporting needs across the organization into a single, powerful solution.

Collaboration & Efficiency Gains
Our budgeting cycle used to take 4 months. With Pigment, we've reduced it to 2.5 months, even with complex, zero-based budgeting. The platform enables seamless collaboration among business leaders: users log in, update their working scenario, add comments, and trigger approval workflows. As a result, rolling forecasts update in real-time, meaning we're no longer lagging months behind the business as we were with spreadsheets and legacy systems (no more server certificate issues).

Integrations & Real-Time Insights
Pigment's integration philosophy and API-first architecture allowed us to connect core systems for real-time analytics. This "single source of truth" approach eliminated manual data handling, saving us an entire week of reporting every month.

Dimensional Flexibility & Custom Views
Pigment supports an essentially unlimited number of dimensions and custom views, making post-M&A integration seamless and efficient. Each business team (Finance, IT, HR, Sales) can view the data through their lens without creating disparate models.

Support & Product Evolution
Support is outstanding. Responses are fast (often feels 24/7), and issues are resolved promptly. The Pigment community is growing and active, and the resource library continues to improve. What truly stands out is their pace of innovation, regularly rolling out meaningful improvements that are both visionary and grounded in customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Implementation Complexity
The initial setup can be complex, depending on your use case. I recommend using a certified implementation partner to get started efficiently.

Learning Resources
While community support and documentation are helpful, customers supporting Pigment in-house could benefit from broader access to Pigment’s advanced training materials, courses, and certifications, which are currently available to implementation partners.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment solved the problem of fragmented, slow, and manual planning processes. It replaced spreadsheets and disconnected systems with a single, real-time platform that supports complex use cases, such as zero-based budgeting, workforce planning, and revenue forecasting.

 ### 21. Powerful and flexible business planning, analysis, and collaboration tool for better decision-making

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan A. | Sr. Director, Strategic Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I love a ton of things about this product, and these are just a few:

Flexibility - whatever your organization's data can support can be built, and it's easy to rip and replace pieces of your models as your business or needs change

Multidimensionality - calculations performed on multiple dimensions at once

Scenarios - easy to create and compare

Real-time reporting, modeling, and planning - with scheduled imports, your workspace is always up-to-date

The direction of the product - Pigment is leaning in to agentic AI to not just analyze data and complete routine tasks, but they are currently working on agents that will actually assist in modeling and planning

The team - every interaction with our CSM, Solutions Architect, Implementation Consultants, Support, etc. has been stellar

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

There are very few things I dislike about Pigment, but in its current state (June 2025), I do have some suggestions:

More formatting options to make dashboards and visuals "prettier" (they are actively working on some things here and have released some improvements recently, but continuing to improve this will only make me more of a fan!)

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment has helped transform our messy processes and clunky spreadsheets into a nimble, dynamic single source of truth for making more informed business decisions. It has enabled our team to achieve better alignment on strategic objectives and company goals - everyone knows what they need to deliver for the business at all times.

We are currently using Pigment for a ton of things: bottom-up three statement modeling and financial reporting, GTM planning, workforce planning, vendor-level OpEx planning, R&D analysis & cap software automation, cap table analysis and management, risk management, and more!

The calculation engine can handle a lot of complexity, which is good for us - we are data fiends and thrive in the details. The possibilities are seemingly unlimited with Pigment.

All fields from data sets aren't automatically available for reporting, admins have to make them available when requested which creates a bottle neck for analysts and report builders.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment helps us get to our YTD forecast quickly as actuals are updated monthly. I can immediately analyze where we are compared to the budget and make adjustments as needed for HC or Spending that is being pulled in from another source or something I know that hasn't hit the system yet.

 ### 24. Instantly Impactful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

The formulas can be kind of tricky but the language is not impossible. Our calculations are fairly complex and at times the forecast can be slow to calculate.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

I would appreciate the versioning feature for apps, in case I wanted to go back and undo the changes.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Has several interesting features for planing and areas where the end user has to enter data themselves

 ### 41. Easy-to-use tool with great automation capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dastan S. | FP&A Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigment provided many great features that helped us solve our day-to-day reporting and controlling tasks. First, we use the integration with other tools as a source for our reporting numbers. With Pigment, we could automate periodic reports updates, which freed us from doing manual updates while populating 100% matching values. Another great feature is the access rights, which is very customizable and provides capabilities that regular Google Sheets lack. In addition, the creation of different views of the same report helps us meet varying requests from our stakeholders. It is worth mentioning how Pigment support works. They quickly address our questions and try to resolve technical issues as soon as possible.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Pigment is a very young tool, and they still have many features to add to their product roadmap. Also, it would be nice to have more formatting options available. However, we can always submit an Idea on their community portal, which they regularly review.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Modeling. With Pigment, we can quickly model our financial forecasting views while utilizing actual data available through integrations. With the help of scenarios, we can quickly compare how different assumptions yield different results.
- Quick access to desired views. We can construct reports and add all necessary filtering options, which users can utilize and configure to their needs.
- Automated updates. Pigment's automated import feature allows us to populate tables with new data. We no longer need to be concerned about changing the data within our report if the source data has been changed. Pigment does this for us, ensuring all the information is the same across platforms.
- Giving selective access to users. We can give read and edit rights to our users and select certain fields within tables they can work on. With this, several users can see completely different pieces of information within the same report.

 ### 42. Powerful tool to analyse, report and centralize data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anatole S. | FP&A & BI Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

I love the user experience of the product. Very clear and a lot of options to present data. You can also automate imports/exports from looker or other BI tools to Gsheet/Excel.
Pigment also allows the management of extensive database without lagging unlike GSheet.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Pigment may be challenging to get used to at first; becoming fully autonomous on the tool takes time.
Lots of options that can lose the beginner user.
The graphics could be much more advanced. For the moment, I feel limited in this aspect.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for efficient analysis of extensive databases much more straightforwardly than Excel.
Much less lag.
Much clearer data presentation interface for viewers.
Also allows for much greater autonomy in many reporting tasks and reduces the time spent checking information (vs. Excel).

 ### 43. User friendly tool which is very flexible customizedabled to adapt your business specifities.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

The possibiity to drill-down in live conditions to better understand your controlling data

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

The slowless of the system when lot of data are being proceed at the same time.
The management of the user access rights which is very difficult.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- It save lot of time time for the local controller to report to Group format when the local ERP is interfaced directly through an API ( no data crunching anymore and XL work for the local controllers)
- it enable the Corporate controlling team to consolidate easily Group Management Account and perform the right analysis to support the business
- it brings "finance" out of the finance function wihtin the organizing by enlarging the access right to other corportate functions with limited access rights ( Sales, Ops, Marketing, Local Management, ....)

 ### 44. Business Planning Platform: To Plan and Make Decisions with Pigment's Comprehensive .

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umesh T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigment's integrated platform enables users to efficiently gather and integrate data from multiple sources in real-time, providing a comprehensive and unified perspective of a company's financial and operational performance.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Pigment's platform offers robust features and capabilities but it may not be the best fit for smaller organisations or businesses with simpler financial structures due to its potential complexity.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business often face the challenge of time-consuming and inefficient data integration that can lead to duplicated effort, errors, and takes huge time in decision-making. This is especially occur when data is scattered across multiple sources such as spreadsheets, databases and cloud services, making it difficult to consolidate and analyze effectively.

 ### 45. The future of FP&A

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

A very well-thought-out tool that allows you to dig into the details and thus make the job more enjoyable. The customer service is very reactive and allows us to avoid being blocked.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

The modeling part remains technical and requires a an investment in terms of time to create applications. However,The pigment academy allows an onboarding.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Massively reducing the risk of error & allows to have different views of our figures in an impressive combination of visualisation / detail.

 ### 46. A new uncapped potential for FP&A

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel Z. | FP&A Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

- The incredible flexibility the tool has when it comes to creating budgets and plans.
- An amazing onboarding experience backed by a team with a wealth of knowledge.
- Integrated solution that works across multiple functions of the business, whether it be manager specific or finance-specific.
- Incredible response times with any support issues.
- The product is consistently evolving with new features being rolled out every week.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

- Like most systems, there is a learning curve, but there's an extra steep learning curve because of how powerful Pigment can be.
- UX can be a bit clunky at times especially when designing boards.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment is helping us obtain so much more granular detail from the business.
Prior to Pigment, we would have to build out adhoc analysis and models to see business performances by region, product etc. but with Pigment, we're able to look at multiple points of the business with minimal clicks.

In addition, the finance team has a consolidated source of truth of approvals for all things opex and headcount related within the business with live feeds back to the managers on how their requests are progressing.

 ### 47. Next-gen Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack Q. | FP&A Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

Pigment is the next-gen solution of EPM tools. Having worked with many other solutions in this space (BPC, Anaplan, Adaptive) it is clear this is the direction that the industry is going. The spatial framework of the tool is a game-changer that enables users not to be burdened by tedious structure management, allowing users to build on the fly. While the initial use case for the product is for finance and revenue planning, the tool's flexibility makes the use cases seemingly limitless.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

There is an upfront investment that needs to be made with Pigment. This is a new tool, so it's unlikely that anyone on your team or in the industry has much experience directly with Pigment. You'll need your team to invest time to get up to speed but luckily the learning curve is not too steep, especially if you have active experience with other EPM tools (e.g. Anaplan).

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment is getting us out of spreadsheets and manual consolidations and moving us to a centralized planning tool with greater visibility and flexibility than we've ever had.

 ### 48. I dreamed about this kind of application and my dream came true

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rares P. | Sales Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

It's flexibility in aggregating, allocating and various input types basically you can do anything with data, also operational but also gather data and bring relevant information at the top level.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

I would like to have the possibility to have a smart deployment on-prem/private cloud system, like personal instances but still having continuous connection CI/CD to the main development repository for automatic updates, for keeping data "inside" an organization. (dockers, kubernetes etc.)
It's a feature required by many global corporations

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pigment can cover many problems which classic systems cannot cover and the users are forced to revert their activities to cumbersome huge excel files
-operational modules not covered by ERPs or very rigid - commercial, HR, production planning etc.
-consolidation of many ERPs / systems into one perspective, still flexible enough to preserve the competitive advantage of the company
-budgeting at any granular level and covering heterogenous organizations with multiple business units and product categories
-Full costing allocation engines and advanced Activity Based Costing systems in complex organizations which are not being covered (or are very difficult to implement and to maintain) by any software than excel at this moment

 ### 49. Corporate Strategic Finance Senior Analyst

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Conner M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

multidimensionality, easily lets me analyze data without having to change any formulas.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Understanding formulas is very hard for me when implementing complex models. I wish there were more trainings VIDEOS to show how to use functions

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us understand consumer trends and grow the business

 ### 50. Great Implementation team and product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica B. | Finance Systems Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Pigment?**

The integrations to our other systems were easy to set up and schedule. The expert implementation team was very responsive and kept us on track with our timeline. The ability to drill into the formulas and see the metrics used is a great feature.

**What do you dislike about Pigment?**

Out-of-the-box apps and reporting were limited. Would like more references for best practices in the beginning when trying to learn how to structure our blocks and formulas, as there is a steep learning curve. Application access rights were complicated to set up.

**What problems is Pigment solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The planning process for multiple subsidiaries and departments has been moved out of spreadsheets. We no longer need to extract and compile data from various sources. The finance team has a consolidated view of approvals required for opex and headcount inputs from the budget owners. Changes are also easier to audit with the log of historical changes.
