I loved the clean, simplistic look of the dashboard and mostly intuitive features of the interface. The standard offering of the products works seamlessly if it is complemented by the relevant apps that enable the full functionality of the platform. To hae a full functioning system that complements the inhouse process, it is important to design the end-to-end up front and share such details with the team to enable ease in integration with other inhouse systems. Depending on the level of customisation, the Aavenir CLM product may present different levels of complexity in terms of user experiences - which may end up less intuitive than intended. The experience gets better as you use frequently and the team offers you training videos in support as well if you require. The system workflow in its current form is very rigid. It follows a fixed process that cannot be deviated from. E.g. the first contract review needs to be an internal review and then external review must follow. The system cannot handle deviations at all. However human beings do not necessarily work the same way as machines do. In this regard the tool does not make me feel like it is working for me but more like I am working for the tool.
The system is also too sensitive. E.g. merely clicking the "Save" tab twice can cause a system error. Ever so often system errors, such as the inexplicable inability of the system to attach template contracts to the submission, do happen and it seems difficult for anyone to pinpoint why this is happening. Every submission can feel like a lottery, and if you lose the lottery you need to re-start the whole submission process from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well thought out product. Workflow can be very flexible. Being bulit on servicenow, gives any enterprisethat has a serviecnow footprint and easy choise of admistration and support and long easy integation with other peripheral systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Aids in the automation of contract management and legal operations and speed up approval cycles. Provides a secure and one-stop platform to perform data analytics pertaining to one's contracts and a secure repository which contains the approval history and different versions of a contract.
The Aavenir team who was responsible for implementing the solution was generally responsive and adhered strictly to the timelines requested. Aavenir helps our internal teams to track and manage contracts effectively. The entire lifecyle of the contract is stored in a central database which is very helpful from an audit perspective. Also the fact that the applications sit on ServiceNow as a platform, allows us to manage the base data across the systems in the organization. I love working across the the teams of Aavenir; they are very meticulous in gathering all the requirements and providing super fast solutions always! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Aavenir CLM is easy for new users to begin using and has streamlined the process for our legal department to have contracts signed and stored for easy access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the template features have at times been a bit clunky but we have easily worked around them and have not had problems implementing the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We purchased Aavenir Contractflow to replace a legacy solution that had been in place for a couple of years. We found Aavenir via the ServiceNow store, and since we are big users of the ServiceNow platform, it seemed like a good fit. Aavenir applications sit inside our ServiceNow platform, which leverages all our investments and internal ServiceNow resources to the fullest. This was a key consideration in moving forward with Aavenir.
We are using RFPflow and Contractflow to manage the intake of requests for the sourcing department, and to define the necessary review and approval process for any request. This includes RFI/RFP processes, new contract negotiations, contract amendments or renewals, terminations, etc. Leveraging ServiceNow as a platform will allow Aavenir to connect our internal customers to the sourcing department with transparency and ease. Aavenir will also give the sourcing department the tools we need to coordinate with our various internal stakeholders and suppliers to efficiently process requests while remaining policy compliant. Our implementation of the CLM tool is being done in 2 parts. This review is only for phase 1 - which was our client contracts in which we currently will only be using Aavenir as a document repository with OCR capability to search all documents within that repository. The review does not include phase 2 which is full implementation for our vendor contracts, because the implementation is ongoing so I prefer not to submit a review for it until that phase is complete.
As it relates to the Client Contracts - the OCR capability works extremely well. During implementation we ran into several snags where we needed the tool to do proximity searches and to have OCR have the capability to read scans vs pdf documents. Aavenir's implementation team was exceptional in solving for these issues and developing a means for the tool to do both functions. While the integration with ServiceNow is conceptually a value-add, especially in the eyes of our internal IT organization, it is extremely dependant on ServiceNow. For instance, as client record must already exisit within ServiceNow in order to tie any documents to it within Aavenir. This has caused some process issues because we do not typically add all of our clients to ServiceNow as this SN client list is driven off an API from our payables system and not every client has a payable record. We must now modify our process to add all clients to our payables system, which in turn is causing concerns and a process modification from our Finance organization.
