I like that TechNews is very straightforward to use with their navigation, their UI is easy to understand how to navigate, and that they have a great deal of functions/search options we can use to streamline our searches. I LOVE that TechNews pulls up articles written with certain search terms. This feature is so helpful for targeted outreach. For example, when I'm looking to build a media list on a specific topic, say "data aggregation" or "uber" I can find relevant and recent stories (and therefore reporters). This is a feature that they do 100x better than Cision. With Cision it is impossible to get really narrow and specific coverage areas, and you can't see recent articles of each reporter or link to their coverage on their site. TechNews is great that way. They also show you how many articles each reporter and publication has written on the topic at the top of every search, so you can quickly see if it's something they regularly cover or may just have been a one-time thing. TechNews can be a little janky sometimes and it could use an update. They also only really have tech reporters in their database, I'd love for them to expand it because sometimes I can't find relevant reporters.
