1) Quinyx is designed for managers of section to approve annual leave of that section, unfortuantley this an issue for multi-complex management, for example if you are regional compliance manager, managing compliance officers who sit in different units, you will need access to multiple units and sections. This causes you to view ALL the annual leave request from those sections.
Also, if you are ward manager you need access to your section to approve...this also means you can approve your own annual leave, if you are costed to that section.
2) Change from classic to neo means feature sold to us were lost such as the ability to see logs, this is now on neo in most unhelpful and unthoughtful manner - it is evident system developers do not think about end users- because on classic I can search per name and shift date and changes are shown...on neo you'll need to go through sometimes 20/30 pages to find and if more than one change was made to the particular shift it is hard to see. There has been a delay of year to release the improved audit logs which will allow the end user (admin) access...no explanation why, it just keeps being delayed.
3) another example that developers do not have the end users in mind, is the fact that after schedule is soft locked for the week by person with the permission to do so, someone with lower permission can still edit the punch. I tried to understand quinyx's logic for this and support was unable to say. They say it is a new feature; the reason why this doesnt make sense in the real world,is for example, a hospital director will lock the shedule - after checking the ovetime, etc- by doing this they are taking financial resposniabilty / signing off the pay. To have someone who can go behind the back and amend the punch, without the schedule being unlocked is not ideal.
4) customer support has really improved in last year.
5) Sometimes, the base doesnt roll out correctly, eg: shifts missing for no reason. I managed to get a recording of this and even with presented evidence, quinyx say they do not know.
8)when creating shift types with overtime rates rules- there is no quick of checking those rules without clicking each one, there also no way to copy a shift type. Alot of background work for admin side. The main reason for this, is quinyx was designed to accommdate organisation where all units work the same way - overtime rates and unsocial time periods. The compatibility with other services is great. How easy it is to export the payrolls for all units at once. The overview you get of all employee's schedules and their hours. That the employees get a good overview of their hours and updates of schedule in real-time. Easy to punch in/out from website, webpunch or mobile device. Great with multiple options. The support is fantastic, quick responses and very educated answers. Always friendly. The help docs are also very useful.

That you have to click so many times to get to where you want to go. Not always logical where to find certain reports/features/functions. Would like an option to change settings for all units at once, for example set the same geofencing radius for all units instead of doing it separately for every unit. Would also like to be able to search for an employee in all units, currently I have to search for a person in each unit if I have forgotten where they are placed.

Employee scheduling is easy to use and adaptable to your store's needs. The costs tracker is very accurate and extremely useful. I use the planner every day and can schedule months in advance. Recently some new features have been added such as being able to drag and drop shifts which is excellent. Holiday planning and reporting could be a lot more user friendly at a store level. The Analytics and time tracker reports are clunky and inflexible. Once they are run, if you haven't used one of the filters correctly you have to start over again. If a part time colleague applies for holiday this has to be deleted and re-created by manager in order to allocate the correct number of holiday hours.
