Top Rated Zillow Premier Agent Alternatives
I like the ease of use best. It is easy to see all of your past sales and you leads. It is nice when you have a featured listing that you can compare how your listing is doing against your competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't always love the search interface. Also, I don't believe that the Zillow estimates are accurate. I find most of the time they are high. When they are that high they give sellers false expectations. I also feel like we don't get that many leads out of it. Zillow customer services is difficult to get in touch with, unless you need to pay for something/upgrade your account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once a potential customer calls in you get them inside your app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The leads are terrible. Most are not loyal to the agent they talk to, and will just call to get anyone to show a house. Zillow needs to do a better job with screening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The sale's person was nice and professional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was promised 11 to 13 leads per month per zip code. In my first month I got one lead which it wasn't good. I called Zillow to complained why I only got one lead in a month if I was promised between 11 and 13? They said my contract was only for ONE lead per month. It wasn't especified in the agreement. I asked to have it cancelled because that is not for what I signed up. They refused, so I am calling my bank to dispute the payment on basis of fraud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find the most helpful, or my favorite feature is the dashboard. In the dashboard I am able to see all my past sales, reviews, current leads in my pipeline as well as past messages with clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike the most about Zillow Premier Agent is the pricing and availability of new leads. Multiple times I have wanted to branch out in to a new zipcode/area, however due to the pricing I have been hesitant and eventually decided against it. Most times I am unable and also unwilling to pay the specified price in order to get leads in a zipcode, only to be at the bottom of the list of suggested agents when viewing a property. Consumers are rarely going to scroll all the way down to one of the bottom agents shown and reach out/choose them. I also had ongoing issues with leads being interested in renting a property instead of outright buying, and I/my office does not deal with rentals/leases, thus wasting my money on a lead that could not be converted into a client/deal. If yall don't mind paying $$$$ for hit-or-miss leads. Sure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hit or miss at $2500 a lead. A dog walker checking on a house she thought her clients might like (she brought three kids from her daycare with her) A father checking to see if his son got a good price on the house he just bought. 3 people just looking NEVER told anyone they wanted to buy. A man looking to get a tour of Puyallup NOT buying a house, just thought this was a good way to get a tour guide. Four actual buyers two deals that closed and I almost broke even. When I started complaining, they terminated my contract without discussion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first: leads were provided and visible on a dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* Stopped Providing Leads
* Kept Charging my card
* Did not respond to multiple requests for help
* Refused to offer credit or refund
* Took months "searching for a resolution"
* Made up bogus reasons for refusing to offer a credit or refund Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That's very difficult to say. I did get some leads but they are far from "qualified" like they say they are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where do I start?! The so called business advisors are arrogant and far from helpful. They make you sign up for a 6 mos period and convinced me to spend about $1400 a month and I was lucky to get 3 leads a month. They don't screen the leads at all. I've been given fake information from buyers on multiple occasions. Also they sell over 100% of the market to agents! How they are getting away with these tactics I don't know. Basically they sell you a percentage of the market. When I noticed that I was paying the same monthly amount but getting less I was told by Zillow it was because they sell more than 100% of the market so my share will decrease based upon the number of Realtors who sign up for the service in my area. So I purchased say 7% of the market. It could shrink to 2% or 3% as they sell more. I have been asking for a copy of my contract for about 6mos and I have yet to receive it. One of the Zillow advisors couldn't answer my questions and got upset and actually hung up on me. These people are so unprofessional. The constant turnover of employees says it all. I've had 3 or 4 different advisors in a six month period because they left the company. It's obvious they hire young people and do a bad job of training them. They all have different explanations of how the program works. And don't even think of asking for a manager. They are just as incompetent as the business advisors. Save your money! This program is a waste of your time and money! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Zillow provides adequate leads if that is what you are seeking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You need to be sure you are ready and able to pay for leads that may not always pan out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The newer format for their buyer leads where they connect you live over the phone results in slightly more vetted and quality leads since you get to talk to the buyer right away. They also give you the option to be that buyer's designated agent on Zillow for at least 30 days so that the buyer doesn't get connected with other agents on Zillow right away. Of course the ever-increasing cost is frustrating, but isn't that surprising with the way the real estate market has been in recent years. My biggest complaint with Zillow Premier Agent is that you have to be ready to answer calls from them in order to be connected with the lead, which is really challenging for me. I can easily respond to a text or email (like with Realtor.com), but I often can't answer a call right away. If you don't answer, they call another agent. It's mainly because of this that I recently cancelled my advertising with Zillow.
I also had issues with lead quantity. There were multiple months this past year where I received fewer leads than they had quoted me when I had signed up. I just feel like the quality overall has gone down hill over the past 7 years that I had been advertising with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing to like about Zillow as an agent. It's expensive, limiting and ineffective as a lead generation or advertising platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zillow provides two services:
1. Free home search tools to homebuyers
2. Paid lead generation for real estate agents
The majority of the reviews online clearly are from the former group, reviewing the latter group (often excellent agents that are not affiliated with Zillow, outside of paying Zillow for those leads) or the home search tools at Zillow.com, which are decent.
The issue is, the paid lead generation (aka Zillow Premiere Agent), in our experience, is a HORRIBLE service for real estate agents like ourselves, and Zillow itself treats its paying customers (at least us and many other agents we've spoken to) terribly. So the ratings on this site are deceivingly positive, when the truth is that Zillow itself is destroying the livelihood of agents like us by not being upfront about their lead generation service.
We invested over $36,000 into Zillow lead generation and got nothing for it. Only after being locked into a contract for 6 months, did we find out that LEADS ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE. Agents, read that again. The leads you PAY FOR (in SoCal they're often $800+ per lead) are NOT exclusive to you. You have 30 days to get the lead to proactively opt-in to an exclusivity agreement with you—if they don't respond or decline the invite, they go back into the pool for other agents.
As we all know, leads are often unresponsive in the beginning, so this system is designed for failure. This allows Zillow to make money on the same lead sent to multiple paying advertisers. I don't know about you, but if I had known that upfront I NEVER would have signed up. The contract doesn't mention this anywhere, neither does the sales representative. Neither does the website training documents, or the onboarding manuals/conversations you have with your account rep. You are left to figure this hindrance out for yourself, and once you do, they refuse to let you out of your contract for any reason.
On top of this, the majority of the "leads" you get are people who think you're either a Zillow employee, or the listing agent. They very often already have agents representing them, and are just calling for info on the property, not because they're interested in hiring a buyer's agent. So you're paying hundreds of dollars to talk to waste-of-time tire kickers with absolutely no intention of ever using you.
In a response to my BBB complaint, Zillow claimed "We provide agent-ready buyer leads to local real estate agents and in that process, these leads remain exclusive to the agent we connect them with." This is objectively false on several accounts. The leads are not agent-ready, as explained above, and they're not exclusive!
In my opinion, Zillow is destroying the real estate industry through deceptive practices. It's ironic, since Zillow can attribute its success directly to the realtors from whom it originally "borrowed" the MLS listings that realtors have to pay for the privilege to post to. Now, Zillow is opening its own brokerage, literally stepping on the heads of the industry professionals they used to get to where they are in the process.
This company, in my opinion, does NOT have agents' best interests at heart, and in fact deceives them with false promises and lack of transparency relating to the severe limitations voluntarily implemented by them in their own system.
Let this be a stern warning to any other agent thinking of investing, you could easily end up like me—out almost $40k with nothing to show for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The promises seemed to be a game changer for my business. Unfortunately none of what I was told was true. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lying about market shares. Zillow promised to deliver an estimated 10-11 per month yet the average of leads received was only 2 per month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
