I had the privilege of working with Richard Harris Consulting as work on my transition from Customer Success to Sales, and the experience was truly transformative. Richard's training went beyond traditional sales techniques, focusing deeply on discovery: uncovering buyer motivations, understanding the economic impact of their pain points, and identifying key decision-makers with precision.
What stood out most was how immediately applicable his insights were. Richard did his research and made sure our training was 100% tailored to our organization. There were very few things in his training that weren't absolutely relevant to our crew. Richard took the time to truly listen to our team and understand our unique challenges when selling. He didn't take a cookie-cutter approach. Richard was able to adapt his teaching approach to suit our needs. He assessed the maturity levels of the team and tailored focus on the areas for improvement through role plays and deep Q&A. Also, given the on/off Covid situation, Richard was extremely flexible with timing and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we fully understood the material.
In addition, Richard is very personable and easily connected with my team on an individual level. He was always approachable, and I felt he genuinely cared about our success. As i mentioned above, what i love is that it combines the best of many different sales ideologies.

He was very thoughtful on his intake and diligence process, and came to each session incredibly prepared and with the deepest understanding of our business and needs that I've seen from someone who doesn't actually work here. We opted for a somewhat abbreviated session, and I think we could have benefitted from some of the other modules. That said, I think this was the right decision for us at the time and Richard was respectful of that. We will certainly engage him in the future if there's another opportunity to do so. Our Go-To-Market teams spent 10 weeks with Richard at the start of 2021. Two of the 10 weeks were 4-5 hours of training per day with Richard and our entire team. In between the intensive weeks, we had weekly check-ins where we reviewed live scenarios and practiced the concepts we learned from Richard. The workbook that we received at the end of our session is invaluable. I have it saved on my desktop and reference it on a daily basis. Training under Richard now has our GTM team speaking the same language which we usually refer to as "The Richard Harris Method" whenever explaining our approach for a given deal.
