The videos and and role plays were most helpful in the learning process.

  ### 4. Exceptional Training for Customer Success Growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz D.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I found the trainer, Alia Pirani, to be absolutely amazing. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and had significant expertise in both the training delivery and the broader field of customer success. Aliyah made the material feel incredibly applicable, even for those of us without direct situations to apply it to immediately, showing that she was adept at ensuring the content resonated with a diverse range of experiences. I particularly appreciated how the training helped me draw parallels between my previous coaching background, which was primarily in higher education, and the customer success processes in SaaS. This helped bridge the gap between my past experiences and what I'm aiming to achieve in the SaaS industry. The structured approach of the training, including the blueprints and activities, was fantastic and offered concrete, tangible support. The activities were not only engaging but also very useful, providing practical tools and insights. Although I haven't completed all the reflections and challenges, I am definitely planning to revisit them because the initial encounter was so substantial. The ability to fit content into my existing skills and develop my understanding of communication, impact, and value was invaluable. The recommendation to use a platform like Bomb Bomb or Vidyard was appreciated, and I found using video in communication quite beneficial. Overall, the program is deeply enriching, and it has provided me a significant boost in confidence and competence as I aim to make my mark in the SaaS customer success arena.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I wouldn't say there is anything I specifically dislike - though I think you have opportunity to have a specific I focus on helping individuals in career transitions, especially those transitioning into SaaS customer success roles. Additionally, it would be beneficial if the training incorporated more AI-focused content. I am also trying to better understand what organizations use the Winning by Design training, to help tailor my job search accordingly, and I wonder if there’s a way to partner more closely with organizations to facilitate job placements for training graduates.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Winning by Design to enhance my SaaS sales and customer success skills, bridging my past experience with new industry practices and building confidence in my contributions to the SaaS world.

WBD does a great job of aligning trainings to specific skill levels as well as products and companies.

I liked the live lessons and thought they provided a lot of value to the course material. Our instructor Chris was very knowledgable and engaging, and did a great job facilitating interactive learning.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Anyone entering into a role or want to review foundational skills then this program is perfect.

The focus on practice through role plays. Even though I feel a bit pressured and shy at times, I find them incredibly helpful for improving my skills. Shoutout to Boris, we never felt embarassed when we don't know the right answers!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

The sessions are 2 hours long. I think they could be just as effective if shortened to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Good thing is the sessions aren't overwhelming and Boris' playlist is fire!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Perfect as is!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This training helped me improve my talk tracks with customers, making my sales meetings more strategic and a better flow. By applying these techniques, I am more confident in handling various customer types, equipped with better (open-ended) questions and more effective talk tracks moving forward.

  ### 32. Winning By Design - Selling for Impact Course Review - Trainer: Chris Allison

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander T. | Account Executive - EMEA & MENA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I loved the interactive element. Having sold training myself in the past (for 5 years), I know how difficult it can be to make training effective when someone won't keep their camera and mic on. I felt like I was getting personal tuition from Chris the entire time and that he really cared about my learning experience.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I honestly couldn't criticise it at this point.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Be prepared for the trainer to ask you questions, engage with you throughout the course and ensure you're involved. This course focuses on proactive learning and you'll see the benefits from it.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The areas I needed to improve are better qualification and higher win rate on deals. This will help me to hit company revenue goals (and my own).

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Alia was a great coach, she was easy to work with, fun and engaging, it made the experience even better!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I did not like that we only had 5 sessions, if we had more, it would of been better I think!

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Easy to work with team, that helps you standardize your process and make it more streamlined across customer interactions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Antoine was a fabulous coach in our private session we had as a company. His ability to keep a large group engaged and the learnings he is able to pull out from breakout sessions is masterful. At winning by design, the course is not a slide presentation where you just sit and listen, it is a collaborative training with breakouts sessions and active conversations. Antoine really was able to dig into our business and make the training super relevant to our business model and specific nuances. (If you can, ask for him as your trainer! :))

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

No bad things to say! From prework to check in questions to live sessions, winning by design has nailed it

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Winning by Design is nothing short of a game-changer for anyone looking to elevate their sales strategy and drive business success. The course delivers a comprehensive and actionable guide to mastering the art and science of sales. Our team came in with many different backgrounds and experience levels in selling and this course really levelled the playing field and armed each member of the team with the tools and conversational techniques to become masters in all phases of the sales cycle.

  ### 35. Antoine & WbD are AMAZING!

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The training course and the materials provided that I can actually use in day to day work!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Lack of availability for class schedules. Only offering one day and time was pretty difficult for me so would be great if your provided more options when signing up.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently a team lead and trying to get introduced to how I can swiftly transition into a managerial role in the next few months and I feel much better prepared after taking this course! Working at a fast scaling start up things change on a dime, so I need to be ready and effective when the situation calls for it and that's exactly what I learned from this course. They give you tangible skills and tools (actual collateral) you can use and implement to be effective immediately. This was immensely valuable, more than i anticipated so I'm thrilled with the results! Antoine was truly an INCREDIBLE coach. He made each session interesting and relatable, so it was never boring or mundane. He made it super interactive (but not forced or awkward) which made for a great learning environment. I'd highly recommend taking one of his classes if you can!

**Reviewed by:** Dale B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Practical exercises conducted with team members, allowed us to practice material taught in the lessons.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Perhaps having the course at time other than Monday am. However that was out of their control. (perhaps)

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

The teaching methods combined with the knoweldge shared by the Winning by DesignTeam will help you and you and your Sales Associates close business.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Winning By Design course tackles real life sales situations with practical, effective sales techniques that drive results. The instructor Antoine Mandy was particular knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

  ### 37. The instructors from Winning by Design are some of the most brilliant people I have ever met.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alec G. | Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

They make their workloads very manegeable and the instructors are extremely skilled in their respective fields of expertise.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I can't think of anything that I do not like.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Don't hesitate! Sign up for their program and use every piece of information that they give you because it is what gives you the competitive edge over the average person. The instructors are very good at what they do and I have never had such a wonderful experience in my entire education.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Winning by design has created a proven formula for success and are so knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields that they could teach even the most complex of subjects to a child. They create a learning environent that encourages participation & learn by doing, they present the learning material in very manegeable sections for even full time working folks or full time students, and provide a gold mine of information that is actually practical in the modern world. This has helped my fellow students and I in ways that I could never repay them.

  ### 38. Great course ! Fun and engaging, learned material that I can apply to my day to day.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Alia was a fantastic teacher. The course was easy to follow, and it was very engaging. Each session of 2 hours flew by.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing, really. I would have liked to spend a bit more time of the Impact Review portion (QBR/EBR), but I understand there is a lot to cover in 4 sessions.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

If your first role in Customer Success or a client facing role, I would definitely recommend it. It helped solidify my understanding of the role and gave me a confidence boost.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took the Customer Success for Impact course. We covered topics such as how to conduct meetings, how to ask great questions, how to get our client to provide impact, how to have difficult conversations, how to conduct business reviews, how to tell stories, etc. These are all tools that can be applied to our role and to any client we work with.

  ### 39. Easy to follow, and interactive sales training!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendra B. | Yoga Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I enjoyed that the sessions were intimate and interactive. I enjoyed having the pre-work ahead of time and already knowing what would be discussed on the live training sessions.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

I thought there could have been more time to get to know the other sellers in the class. We often found ourselves wanting to do this during the breakout activity segments which interfered with skill development.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

The training can be globally applied, and comes with many resources that can be used well after the course ends.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The course I took was focused on foundational sales skills. I think WBD is providing a great option to either enhance the sales training given by your organization, or could even act as a vendor partner to outsource foundational training to.

  ### 40. great content, the trainers have experience and it's fun to have the learning sessions with them

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johannes D. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Their own frameworks, the content is really practical

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

What I would add is making the content more specificial to certain business models or GTM motions (e.g. SMB, Enterprise, low touch, PLG) etc.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped a lot developing our approach, methodologies and stragevy for Customer Success @ emlen.io

  ### 41. I am so honored and humbled to have had the chance to take this course.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The way the content was prsented and the amount of help my instructor Antoine Mandy was during the course and even after the course as questions arose.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There was nothing about this course that I didn't like or would change.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

A must have for all sales teams. I would love for my SDR Team to be able to take this course.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I thought of myself as a good salesman, but after taking this course I realized how much there was for me to learn. In my role we mostly focus on the S & the P of SPICED. This course really expaneded my knowlege base around the I / C / E & D. It also helped a lot with story telling and how to properly run a demo like a tru proffessioanl.

  ### 42. Best Sales training around

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

- VERY interactive! This is great as it never becomes boring, and it's not only instructor-lead, some really great discussions came up spontaneously in the sessions.

- It switches the cadence around and starts with pre-work (rather than homework), which makes you come into the week's session a bit prepared for the conversation.

- During the pre-work you're encouraged to bring a real-life "anchor account", which also means you're leaving the course with a fully-fledged account plan, and plan for upsell and cross-sell of a real account!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Some of the methodologies are quite detailed and structured, which might not be easily implementable for smaller businesses.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I took the AM For Growth course led by Alia Pirani.

Winning by Design has a clear sales methodology that can be used in all parts of the sales cycle. For account managers, this means having a clearer view on everything that happens post-sales, and particularly focuses on value communication, driving impact, and aligning priorities with customers.

There is also a session on planning and executing upsells and cross-sells.

  ### 43. WBD - Practical building blocks to use to elevate your skills

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sadie E. | AE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

I liked that there was a mix of at home learning and in class learning to reinforce the concepts. Super interactive classes which really help hammer home the key take aways.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Nothing really that stands out. The thing I found most difficult was that they get you to do work on real life situations which I think is great but I found difficult as I was just tranistiong to the role.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WBD offers great courses to help understand how to best facilitate various parts in the GTM organziation. It's a really digestable and interactive format which makes concepts easy to learn.

  ### 44. Game Changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Costanza B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

It enhances sales success while promoting a customer centric approach. The training also provides invaluable insight into the world of SaaS, redefining entirely the traditional sales cycles as well as the meaning of success in its shift from arm wrestling to win-win. The trainer, Chris Allison, also contributed massively to the value of the training with his high expertise, unrivaled engagement and distinctive humor.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It's important to not get caught up in the frameworks too literally, and maintain a natural conversation flow.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Definitely worth the time.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides invaluable frameworks and paths to successful outcomes.

  ### 45. Winning by Design with Antoine kick started my sales career

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

There wasn't anything I particularly disliked about the training, more time would have been beneficial though

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

It is completely worth the investment. It will level up the quality of leads and conversations after the first interaction.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being very fresh in sales, I needed to learn the fundamentals of customer handling and navigating conversations to last longer and be more productive. Each learning section provided pieces of the puzzle to train the mind to be ready for every interaction.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

The flipped classroom style was unique and helped me retain information better. The live training sessions were fast-paced and had a good mix of presentation style learning with breakouts and discussion. The trainers were all good at keeping energy up during recorded and live sessions.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

Some of the material includes things I've heard before, but sometimes I think it can be healthy to have a refresher on the basics.

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

This training is great for account managers, whether you are brand new to an AM role or want new ideas for how to refresh your workflow.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

It is practical and actually makes sense.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It's a lot of information and I will need to practice.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been in sales for over 10 years and thought I had been through all of the sales methodology trainings. I wish I had just learned this one first.

  ### 48. Winning by Design - Relevant, Realistic, & Riveting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Winning by Design?**

Antoine is an amazing course instructure. The material is presented in a varied and digestible manner. This helped tremdendously with my understanding and engagement as the course is a mix of self-taught and instructor-led. Finally, it avoids the major traps that other sales trainings fall into of not being cheesy or unrealistic in the role-playing segments.

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

It's really hard to think of any major downsides. My training was that well executed.

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone new to SaaS sales, Winning by Design's - Impact for Selling course filled the most important knowledge gaps I had. It gave me new ways to think about my sales approach and focus on consulatative selling.

Easy to digest, straight to the point and tailored for the SaaS world. @Chris Allison is a great trainer by the way!

**What do you dislike about Winning by Design?**

nothing much, the only thing is that you have the theory and the real life. SOmetimes things that are unforsseen still pop up or it doesn't go "by the WBD book ;-)"

**Recommendations to others considering Winning by Design:**

Great added value in your day to day Sales profession, or even your private life, some elements really come in handy!

**What problems is Winning by Design solving and how is that benefiting you?**
