I greatly appreciate the Harris Consulting Group's approach to sales training. Their services include learning sales methodology and applying it in real time with ease, thanks to their simple and digestible coaching points, talk tracks, scripts, and frameworks. This has significantly improved our ability to move prospects through the sales funnel faster and with better quality, resulting in enhanced experiences for everyone involved. The live sessions, post-session feedback, and comprehensive notes have been integral to our learning process. Furthermore, the actual content derived from Richard Harris's experience as a salesperson is incredibly beneficial. The ability to replicate and adapt this material with ease is phenomenal, making it highly valuable for our needs. I had the privilege of working with Richard Harris Consulting as work on my transition from Customer Success to Sales, and the experience was truly transformative. Richard's training went beyond traditional sales techniques, focusing deeply on discovery: uncovering buyer motivations, understanding the economic impact of their pain points, and identifying key decision-makers with precision.

What stood out most was how immediately applicable his insights were. Richard did his research and made sure our training was 100% tailored to our organization. There were very few things in his training that weren't absolutely relevant to our crew. His prep efforts were amazing. He listened to many calls, he interviewed our reps. Truly practiced what he preached in his own sales cycle.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

None to speak of. I really appreciate his no nonsense approach, but I suppose someone might view him as being a little low key or dry. It didn't faze me or take away from his message.

Richard came in as a consultant to our org to help address some confidence with our sellers and earning the right to ask questions to clients. We just wrapped up a several week training and reps are already taking advantage of the valuable information he provided.

We didnt have any area of dislike. It would be nice if he was closer, but overall everything was good.

We asked Richard to come in to review our current process, understand what we are doing well and what gaps existed. We had deals that were stalled and stuck in our funnel. He showed us to tactics to help drive deals to won/lost. Our pipeline is full and deals have been flowing much better. We are very happy with results to date.

Richard provoted me to think and worked with me to  create a new sales process we could call our own.  He didn't try to make us fit a certain mould.

No issues here.  I truly couldn't say a bad word about Richard.

Richard helped us revamp our Sale Process and take it to market.  We have seen a 20% bump in our Show Rate and a 5% bump in our close rate!  The most important part is we are doing business in a way that creates connection and trust.

Richard took the time to truly listen to our team and understand our unique challenges when selling. He didn't take a cookie-cutter approach. Richard was able to adapt his teaching approach to suit our needs. He assessed the maturity levels of the team and tailored focus on the areas for improvement through role plays and deep Q&A.  Also, given the on/off Covid situation, Richard was extremely flexible with timing and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we fully understood the material. 

In addition, Richard is very personable and easily connected with my team on an individual level. He was always approachable, and I felt he genuinely cared about our success. This made the training experience all the more enjoyable, and I do not doubt that it contributed to the effectiveness of the training.

None. Even after the training was delivered, Richard continues to follow up.

Overall, I would highly recommend Richard and his sales training program. As i mentioned above, what i love is that it combines the best of many different sales ideologies.  

You do not have to go through multiple sales ideologies spending thousands of dollars when The Harris Consulting Group has them all in one package.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

There isn't much to say in this regard.  

I constantly recommend The Harris Consultant Group and NEAT selling to all of my coworkers.

I cannot find anything I don't like.

Neat Selling has completely changed the way that I do sales and one that i have followed for over 2 years now.  

Richard combines many sales ideologies picking and choosing the best. 

Accumulating to one of the best sales training. 

He goes so far as to give you real-world email templates that have over 80% Reply rates. (on some not all) 

This is one of the sales training i find myself revisiting year after year to brush up.

He was very thoughtful on his intake and diligence process, and came to each session incredibly prepared and with the deepest understanding of our business and needs that I've seen from someone who doesn't actually work here. Our biz model and product are somewhat nuanced, and he did a great job getting up to speed.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

We opted for a somewhat abbreviated session, and I think we could have benefitted from some of the other modules. That said, I think this was the right decision for us at the time and Richard was respectful of that. We will certainly engage him in the future if there's another opportunity to do so.

We wanted to spend some time working on areas that our teams could be more effective, but most trainers I've worked with in the past have an approach that simply does not resonate with a smart, modern go-to-market team. Our Go-To-Market teams spent 10 weeks with Richard at the start of 2021. Two of the 10 weeks were 4-5 hours of training per day with Richard and our entire team. In between the intensive weeks, we had weekly check-ins where we reviewed live scenarios and practiced the concepts we learned from Richard. It was a great way to put what we had learned into immediate practice.

**What do you like best about The Harris Consulting Group?**

The workbook that we received at the end of our session is invaluable. I have it saved on my desktop and reference it on a daily basis. Training under Richard now has our GTM team speaking the same language which we usually refer to as "The Richard Harris Method" whenever explaining our approach for a given deal.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

We had to do all of the training virtually because of Covid. I still think we got A TON out of it, but it would have been nice to do be in person with our colleagues. But, we brought the energy the best we could while being remote!

We're approaching pricing conversations with more confidence. We're ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles for our selling team. I reached out to Richard during a time of self-doubt and confusion in my sales role. I wasn't getting the coaching I needed at work and knew I had to take action to identify my bottlenecks and how to alleviate them.

Richard was a great listener during our first 1:1 session and extracted the pertinent information from what I was experiencing. He diagnosed the situation at hand like a doctor, and gave me the prescriptions I needed to progress towards my short- and long-term goals.

Over the next several months, Richard & I worked together in weekly sessions on an action plan that resulted in my closing over $200k in business and landing a new job at a company with management that better fit my needs.

I believe I will look back on my investment with The Harris Consulting Group as one of the smartest decisions I have made for my career. Highly recommended.

The most helpful component of Richard's training was his role playing. Without any prior knowledge of our industry or Aurora's product offering, Richard used open-ended questions to counter a customer's response. This prompted us to consider the emotional state of our buyers and earn embrace the respect contract that is set before a discussion.

I would have liked more time to pinpoint scenarios where our buyers may have performed the various ego states. It is easy to discuss on paper, but I would have resonated with a real-life application.

The daily training was great but then felt like we lost momentum by having just a weekly session for the next few weeks. Might recommend turning that into 2 sessions the remaining weeks with a tighter agenda

Richard is very personable and professional, giving practical sales advice that is easily actionable.

Richard was very interactive over Zoom and would go into example cases that fellow AE's raised. Sometimes I felt like we'd hit a rabbit hole and spend a little too much time on a very specific subject which is tough on long Zoom-based meetings.

It would be nice to have some recorded or written material to reference after the meetings as well.

I found his pricing negotiation strategies and modules particularly useful for increasing ACV.

I learned a lot through this class. Every sales trainer is different and you never know what to expect but Richard did a great job. He was engaging and took the time to unpack questions that our team had as we went through training. Sometimes trainers do not acknowledge that specific industries have specific eccentricities to their sales process so it was nice that he did not assume anything and gave us time to share our input on situations too. I have used a lot of what I learned each day and feel more confident in the sales process.
We worked for multiple days and over the course of a few weeks to drive home each topic.

I liked that the training felt personalized and built on itself each session.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

Because we had to do this virtually, we did not have a hard copy of the workbook, as a note-taker, I missed having that takeaway.

Richard is excited to take on any tough question, objection, or sales scenarios you want to throw at him. His no-nonsense approach to sales is direct, straightforward, and confident, but he is the first one to open himself to differing opinions and tactics.

I attended an online group training across industries and I work specifically in travel advertising. Richard specializes in sales for software and technology companies and much of the training assumes a demo and some industry-specific jargon. which was not always relevant to my particular industry and sales cycle. No complaints, though. The skills he taught were easily transferable.

Richard's curriculum and content is brilliant. The handbook is a great foundation for any sales professional and something that our team members still use and reference today. However, what I liked most of all was Richard's flexibility in listening to our team's pains as they were uncovered during the day and then doing small breakout sessions to dive into these and find solutions. Regardless of the pain or obstacle our team presented, Richard was able to work through it with us and help us come to a solution.

The methodology is immediately effective with the team. Richard's style is very engaging, humble, practical and resonates very well with the team members. Harris Group did a day long session of training for our CSM team.

**What do you like best about The Harris Consulting Group?**

Richard was able to use many of the parts of his sale training related to engaging people, types of personalities, how to handle objections, etc. for training of the CSM team. They all found the day to be very constructive. Addiitonally, The Harris Group provided post-training support for both the team and individuals.

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

We still found the material to be somewhat skewed to Sales, but were able to provide Harris Group with input on adjustments that were simple to make. I have since heard that these adjustments are now part of the sessions delivered by Harris Group

The most beneficial part of the training was how to work with different personalities. The CSM team is much more confident in their approach.

Richard shared this vast knowledge/tips and tricks around earning the right to ask questions while utilizing "NEAT"/ open ended questions to find the pain. Richard also shared the psychology around selling,  This is for a team of Sales Development reps and we needed a build a solid foundation for quality prospecting and qualification.      

**What do you like best about The Harris Consulting Group?**

Two areas actually:   1) We live on the "Respect Contracts " to set the agenda and outcome for every call.   It matters and avoids any mystification on the customer side on what the call is about.   2)  Understanding the "question behind the question".   Richard shared what to listen for and how to layer our questions to find the what is truly behind any question or objection   

**What do you dislike about The Harris Consulting Group?**

If I had to do it over again I'd press for more hands on workshop style exercises.  We did not have enough time which was not a Richard issue.

Definitely ask for time to do hands on exercises during the sessions.

We needed a consistent language across the teams around prospecting methodology which was achieved.   We were also able to incorporate many of Richard's prospecting basics in our ongoing team trainings.   After Richard's  training we saw an increase of more quality next steps since our questions were able to find more specific pains thus the prospect was more willing to agree to a follow on meeting.

Super professional, fun and we used Sandler methodology - he definitely knows how this works.  He's also very familiar with modern approaches.

I know you're supposed to put something here to make these things more authentic - but nothing comes to mind - he's good, my colleagues know I wouldn't lie about it.

We are early stage startup and required guidance on enterprise selling. Richard provides excellent pointers on how to go about and candidly shared that before spending more money on him, we should do some other things - where do you get such advise from the sales person? Extremely honest.

Knowledge, honesty, enterprise selling, and seasoned sales trainer

Nothing that we have come across. Perhaps overall proximity for in-person trainings.

If you are looking for cheap provider, don’t use Richard but if you want quality advise on enterprise selling, he is the guy. He is expensive but there is a reason for that.

Enterprise selling for SaaS platform. We learned great deal on creating a strategy on acquiring new customers, training resources, and important introductions

It's not always about closing the deal, it's about the karma. Good things happen when you allow them.

When comparing pricing we always suggest measuring against the LTV of each new customer, not the first contract. 

Thank you for the concern around price. We do look at that carefully and ultimately it comes down to a market rate from our point of view.  But your comment is well received and always something we are looking at.

We worked with Richard to provide 2 full days of prospecting and discovery training for our full sales team including Account Executives, Account Managers, Inbound and Outbound SDRs and a full day of manager training.  In addition, Richard also assisted with review and audit of our messages, tactics, cadences and techniques. 

**What do you like best about The Harris Consulting Group?**

Richard is a true professional and expert who has been in role and run teams allowing his training methods and program to be grounded in reality and action.  He was super easy to work with in preparation to conform the training to our business and needs.  Richard allows for relationships to develop (even if the hours have run out) and is always willing to stay connected, respond to emails and questions and offer advice which many reps have taken advantage of since the training was completed.  His approach is very easy to learn from ,very interactive, very appropriate for new reps and experienced ones in driving new skills and is very engaging.

Honestly there is nothing that I can think of... Richard was by far the best trainer and person that I have worked with when using outside resources.
