The best aspect of Frame.io has to be the interface. The client experience when reviewing video and photo content from us is really important and Frame.io helps us put our best foot forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The folder hierarchy and structure can be a bit confusing across multiple users. We're still working through the best way to organize our own internal structure. This has no effect on clients reviewing material though so it's not a huge concern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frame.io has helped us consolidate notes, receive feedback accurately, and be more organized. Such a simple UI and takes seconds to explain to people who are unfamiliar with it. Their Transfer app makes uploads and downloads fast and easy. I use it every day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like a way to have project shortcuts, like Finder/File Explorer has a way to pin your current projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love being able to send reviewers, clients, proofers, and teammates a quick and easy way to give feedback on a video. The system makes it so easy for all parties involved to collaborate and stay organized with comments, edits, and feedback. For editors, Frame.io has been a game changer in knowing exactly what changes to make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish Frame.io had the ability to just as easily leave comments on PDFs, website comps, and other file types. I also wish they had more pricing plans with fewer features. I love all of the features they offer but I usually don't need as many as they offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frame makes it incredibly easy and simple to leave note reviews. No need to keep track of time codes when the platform manages it all for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It will not ever keep me logged in no matter what, which does get frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The plugin for FCPX is super convenient and makes for a quick back and forth review process, especially when the video versions stack. This allows the same link to show the updated video without requiring access at the web interface to send a link. The interface is clean and straightforward for client reviews with no experience on the platform. The customer support whenever I've noticed a small bug pop up has been great. They are super responsive and always follow up with an answer or note potential features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel like 4k playback when skipping around in the video is kind of buggy. I'd like to see the option to add clients into the review process without paying for a user. Basically someone that is registered to a project or folder and can login or receive notifications of new videos. They don't need to have upload ability or anything else.
EDIT: The software seems to have become more and more bug ridden over the past year. The easy solution is to blame Adobe. The software will log me out way to often and usually I don't know I've been logged out until the export finishes and stalls on uploading. I've gone through cycles trying to login where it won't authenticate. The solution seems to be to fully quit the program and start it all over again with a fresh login, but it's becoming borderline annoying. The issues are challenging to troubleshoot. I really enjoy the timecoding feature, and the option to manually draw on the image, to point out exactly what the comment is referring to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike how buggy the stacking versions feature can be at times. I hope to see this optimized in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy-to-use interface, and flexibility in adopting various post workflows has been a game changer for us at Real Video Production Co. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's unclear sometimes what is client-facing, and what is private. Perhaps a "client view" button could be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I recently started using Frame.io for my video editing projects, and I have to say, it has completely changed the way I collaborate with my team and clients. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy for me to share my work and gather feedback from my collaborators. The ability to leave comments and annotations directly on the video timeline is a game-changer, as it allows me to clearly communicate my thoughts and ideas to my team. Stacking videos can sometimes be a pain when there's an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best with Frame.io is that it is easy to be shared to stakeholders for their comments. They don't need to log in to leave comments in a specific timeframe. You can also import the comments directly to Premiere Pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Things that they can improve on is the interface of the dashboard. I'm having a hard time navigating some previous projects. And if they could put a "close comments" option so stakeholders can stop commenting while I'm in the middle of editing the file.
Also, hope they can improve the uploading duration. I think this is just my internet problem, but hope they can compress the videos while uploading so it won't take up much space. What I also dislike with the tool is that the free version's got a small limit.
I'm still continuously learning to use it, but overall, it's okay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frame.oo has been so helpful to bridge the gap between our video team, marketing, and agents. My favorite thing is that when you leave a comment it has a time stamp - life changing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like is after you approve the video, you can't change the stage to posted. If there was that option we would be able to track a little better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
