Mobilize has an intuitive, user-friendly interface with low- and no-cost options for organizations to create and manage an online community. It is feature-rich. It supports a list-serve, onboarding and management of membership rosters, includes mini-profiles for each member that are viewable by the community, document management, and is customizable. Our professional organization is a volunteer-run and has no budget. We do not have a website, so our members rely on Mobilize to be our online hub and sharing spot. We are so grateful to be able to use Mobilize to further the good we do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the Members feature offers great capabilities (mini-profiles, automated communications, forms), it does not allow filtering on membership date. Adding this feature would help us better recognize and onboard new members. Please add it! Mobilize doesn't really support collaboration in creating documents. If several of us need to work on a document, we use Google docs to leverage their editing and versioning features and then post the finished doc on Mobilize. It would be nice if Mobilize had that function, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how customers can get daily digests sent directly to their email and leave a comment from their email, too! I also love how simple the layout is. And the ability to organize my document uploads into folders! Their customer service is also top-notch. They always get back to me within 24 hours and are very respectful and helpful. Sharing videos is a little clunky and you can't go live directly from Mobilize, you have to use Youtube and patch through to Mobilize. I would love to be able to tag or group topics together. And also to offer courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was unable to access my account and had it resolved within a day or two. Turns out it was my error, to begin with, but I was able to regain access, no problem. The staff was polite and helpful throughout the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was not anything to dislike. The process was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy interface to set up activities, discussions, and polls, along with the availability of a mobile app that beautifully displays the web content in an easy accessible way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing to dislike about mobilize since its free to use and allows you to upgrade to some pretty awesome features that promote more community engagement and interaction between community members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy to view metrics for posts, emails, resources, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A couple of updates we requested/we're told were coming haven't happened yet. Need more notification options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mobilize provides a platform that can be used like a traditional listserv or a more dynamic forum. This was important for our community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had trouble with formatting posts. They often appear oddly spaced in emails v. on the web browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability for members to interact with the platform completely from their inbox so they don't have to check a separate platform if they don't want to. The ability to send SMS or email campaigns from Mobilize is incredibly helpful so I don't have to consistently cross-check distribution lists with other platforms. Similarly, being able to send event invites and manage RSVPs on the platform is helpful. The ease with which members can connect with each other (and filter the member database by job scopes, areas of expertise, or anything else that's public on members' profiles) is great. Our users were hesitant to transition to a new platform, but after some initial pushback, we haven't received any complaints about the platform's features or usability. The resources feature (which is new so still under development), isn't very user-friendly. You can't house links within folders (they go in a separate section) and when searching for a resource, links aren't included in the results so you have to scroll through them (fine with there are 1-10 links; a pain when there are 50+). Resources/links aren't currently automatically alphabetized, so you have to drag things into the proper order (again, fine when you only have a few, but can become annoying with a large number). But, again, it's a new feature, and given how intuitive every other feature of the platform is I have no doubt the resources section will soon be the same.
I don't love that I can't pull usage stats on my own. I know they're adding that feature.
After several months of using the platform, another thing we're noticing is that users don't realize that the 1:1 messaging and other features on Mobilize can take the place of slack workspaces for networking and often ask us if we have both. I'm not sure what I'd recommend to remedy this (we've done walkthroughs, explanations of the platform, reminders, etc.) but something to note. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a rural, community network hub for local clubs and non-profits, Mobilize has provided us a place for folks to experience the social media platform they're used to, but without all the negatives that are pushing people away from the major platforms. Simple layout, easy to learn, and non-invasive for skeptics we're trying to engage with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We would really benefit from having one minute "how to" videos to help us explain functionality. If I had a starter video to show how people can change notifications (for both the app and emails) I think we'd have better retention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
