"Windward Document Generation integration with low-code platform BeInformed works well"

What do you like best about Fluent by Apryse?

Before we used Windward, designing PDF documents within the standard functionality of the BeInformed platform was a very technical matter. PDF documents are often the end product of the processes that we, as IT implementation consultants, automate for governments in the Caribbean.

Where BeInformed excels in automating business processes, Windward excels in designing and generating PDF documents or reports. By separating these responsibilities and setting them up as a service, our documents have not only become more attractive but are also developed faster and with fewer errors.

During the integration of Windward into the BeInformed product and also when we encounter issues or want to add new functionalities to our documents that we initially cannot resolve, we receive excellent support from the Windward team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fluent by Apryse?

We work in the Caribbean as consultants for small governments. The licensing costs for small governments can sometimes be too high.

There are different Winward Engines available. Technically, the JAVA engine would be a more elegant solution in our application architecture. However, due to licensing costs and scalability, we still use the REST-ful engine, which is set up to be more scalable. I find it unfortunate that licensing costs force us not to be able to achieve the most beautiful possible implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fluent by Apryse solving and how is that benefiting you?

Designing high-quality documents (such as a final assessment) that are data-driven and automatically generated by our applications has become much easier. This is due to several reasons:

- The Business Analyst can sit directly with the client to design the documents in Microsoft Word plus the Windward AutoTag plug-in. Previously, there was an extra step in the process where the business analyst only prepared the specification, which then had to be translated into a document by a technician. So, there is one less step in the development process.

- Windward specializes in designing and generating documents. As a result, we can now create higher quality documents with more functionalities than before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
