Since buying and maintaining many devices for testing purposes is not always an option, Samsung's Remote Test Lab comes to help solve this problem by allowing you to test your app on a huge selection of real devices (obviously, Samsung's own) remotely. The requirements to run the Remote Test Lab is a PC able to run Java runtime and a modern browser (JavaScript is needed) and a good internet connection. You will also have to sign up for a Samsung account to be able to test your app. You get few hours a day for testing (which has to be reserved per device). Device selection is huge. You have access to many Samsung phones, tablets and "wearables" each with all the supported android versions and Samsung keep on adding all their newer devices. After you install your apk on the remote device via the interface, you can interact with it and test its layout and functionality. You get some basic controls to help you with the tests, including screen capture and video recording of the session. Those can be helpful when reviewing the test session with others or generating reports.
