What I really like about Samsung’s Remote Test Lab is how it gives developers the chance to test their apps on actual Samsung devices, without needing to own every single model. It’s super convenient because you can access a wide range of devices. I have used it a few times and had a very good experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Due to the fact that this is an online testing platform, things tend to be very slow sometimes. Things also get frozen sometimes. The only way to fix this is by someone from Samsung restarting the system, which is not good for your productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Samsung Remote Test lab has been a life savior when it comes to testing out prototypes we are building for our drone delivery services. It’s a great tool for app testing, especially because you get to test the apps on actual devices even if they are running on a past version of Android like 4.1 or 4.4. The best of all, it’s a free resource for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, connection is faulty but I guess it’s due to high traffic times. This is easily fixed by choosing the device that’s nearer to your geographic location so connection won’t be dropping easily. You need credits to get access but they can also be purchased on the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pretty and easy to use interface. It is easy to choose platform that I need and run the device. I can choose about 100 different devices. I like that I can choose old models of telephones, that hard to find. I only need browser for do my test. I do not need to spend my cloud or server resources, I only need the JRE Java client and new version of browser to run emulation. I can automate some simple repeatable actions by choosing click or install with delay test. I can record screen and I can see come log information when use emulator Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no profiles, that I always want to run. I can only test my application for up to 2 hours, and then need to start again. I cant save my state on device installation. Sometimes there are no blank profiles, and I need to do additional reset of the device before start testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This piece of software from Samsung is a great way to test any app you are developing on a large number of Samsung devices since owning all these devices is simply not a realistic option.
Not much is required for running this program, simply a computer with Java runtime and a Samsung account.
You also get some useful basic tools to help you interact with your app running on the device, along with the ability to record video- which is also helpful when developing app demos.

Since this is a web-based platform for testing, things can get very laggy at times. Things also tend to get freeze - and the only way it can be fixed is when someone from Samsung re-boots the system- not great for productivity!
The time you have to use this service is limited as well to a few hours at a time.
Also, since this is a service developed by Samsung, only Samsung devices are available for testing on.
