With Mender we have found a very good software for our OTA updates. It is easy to integrate on the devices and offers a very wide range of functions for rolling out the updates. Furthermore, our devices can be grouped, which makes it very easy to roll out specific software to the right devices. As a Mender Enterprise user, we have access to special features, such as the remote terminal, which is very helpful when there is no other access to the device. Also, as part of the Mender steering committee, you are always informed about upcoming features, learn how other companies are using Mender, and can give your feedback directly to the Mender team [Feedback can be given even if you do not use the Enterprise version ;-) ].

Mender allows us to update IoT devices in the field. The community edition offers a fully functional OTA update client. There is great detailed documentation and many resources to get started quickly. The time required for the first update implementation of Mender is very low. It is used by small companies as well as for large enterprises. The software is highly customizable. There is a local device API and there is also an API for the Mender server environment. One of my favorite features is the state scripts. These make it possible during the execution of an update to execute scripts to different states, such as Before Download, after Download, After install, etc.. . The entire Mender ecosystem has a great community, which is extremely helpful. The forum (Mender Hub) contains good tutorials, quick start guides and there are many experts around to help with more difficult problems.
