The simplicity to make use of the application by having a simple panel with 4 tabs in which to modify video, audio, bench and screenshot options. The operation of FRAPS is very simple especially for video recording since it does not use any external library nor has high CPU consumption as opposed to other applications for video recording on the desktop. The interface of the application is very simple and simple, although it is not very nice personally I think it does not need it since it is not an application that needs to be in the forefront constantly since the only thing that is needed from them is to configure the shortcuts that allow to start the recording or the benchmarks.

The main objective of FRAPS is to make recordings of the desktop of the operating system and store them in large files, or without any type of compression. The application has some other options like capturing audio or screenshots but the most useful in my opinion is the one that allows to check frames per second or FPS of our multimedia application or video game so that we can measure the performance and determine if our Equipment is powerful enough or we need to update it.

The best thing about FRAPS is its simple and intuitive interface that allows any user to use the application in a few minutes and master it completely after using it 4 or 5 times. FRAPS is an application that has several functionalities but that as main function has the video recording directly from our desktop. The videos recorded by FRAPS are of excellent quality because they are created directly from the application buffer and no compression is applied. The use of FRAPS is also very easy to configure, through shortcut we can start and stop the video / audio recording, screenshots or show the frame count per second (FPS). The use of FRAPS as a benchmark application allows saving the data obtained in a text file to be able to compare them later.
