CloudApp has a lot of options and features for taking screenshots and short clips, as well as marking them up, and sharing them in a variety of ways. The "point" markup option is great, as well as the privacy filter. You can choose whether to copy the image/content or the CloudApp URL, you can customize shortcuts, etc. It's been very useful! There isn't a way (that I know of) to easily integrate with a longer-term image hosting solution. Sometimes my coworkers would conveniently add a screenshot to an email, support request or bug card and the image would expire from the cloud before they were examined. The only way to really mitigate this is to download the image from CloudApp and upload it somewhere else, manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I can easily grab a screenshot, add a markup to it and share it with my team in under a minute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything I dislike really. Although I do wish there were some more options in the markup editor -- different text options, etc. When adding in long content it's not the best tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really love the fact that I can use keyboard shortcuts to create screenshots of
- Both Monitors
- Part of a screen
- Application Window
- Single Monitor
I also really like that I can create GIFs and Videos. The video recording can even include my camera and microphone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I get notified that someone watched a recording when all I have done is pasted the link into Slack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi,
I was using till now another snipping tool
and I'm trying these days your CloudApp.
I found it very useful for its plenty of options
and that you can go back to your previous collections.

I would be happy if you could add a "Print" function to your Share menu.
Secondly, how don't you have the Do and Undo functions, it's basic.
Actually I can use Delete but not at all the actions.
I also didn't see the Erase function...

I love how quick and easy CloudApp is. If I need to do a quick screenshot and annotate or record a video within seconds it's by far the best app. Also, you get a shareable link immediately when it is finished. So easy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really any downsides. I requested the have folders/collections to add videos and screenshots and they came out with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's very easy to use, and I appreciate that my desktop isn't cluttered with billions of screenshots and short recordings I need once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The collection dashboard is so hard and clunky to navigate. Additionally, I've had issues of past URLs suddenly not working, when I have a doc where every single piece of creative I've ever used is shared by a Cloudapp URL. This isn't great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CloudApp has gone through some growing pains to turn into one of my favorite secret weapons. It allows me to refrain from overloading my clients' mailboxes with large attachments and reinforce my branding at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because CloudApp is in growth mode, things change frequently and I often follow a link to a different view than I had seen before. The changes are usually great, though they sometimes degrade the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a all-in-one solution for those who want to record screen tutorials or take snapshots. Provides the ability to simultaneously record the screen with an overlay video of the front camera with a nice layout. Stores all videos, GIFs and snapshots in the Cloud and allows easy sharing. There are a lot of keyboard shortcuts which facilitate the capture of content. The shortcuts are user configurable. The level of personalization of the Cloud sharing platform is top-notch and goes well beyond similar solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Could allow for higher resolution recording and provide different options regarding layouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quick, simple way to share images and videos to colleagues. Track when someone clicks the link. I like the weekly recap email and Productivity Dashboard. This shows time saved in the last week and time saved to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Login process. It does not keep me logged in on reboot of my Mac. Sometimes I want just the link and other times I want the actual image. A more native integration to slack would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I like BEST is the effortless video capture. The workflow to select a capture area before recording, record actions within that region, and immediately paste the captured link or content feels perfectly designed.
The ability to quickly annotate a capture in a straightforward tool before sharing is a close second! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only problem I have had so far is that if I position the mouse cursor to show a tooltip or other item shown on hover, pressing my shortcut to take a screenshot behaves as though I have moved the mouse away before capturing. I can work around this using the delayed screenshot option, but I would prefer that this behaviour was the default for all captures. A previous tool I used would snapshot the state of the entire screen at the moment the hotkey was pressed and then let me select my capture area from within that frozen-in-time image; I prefer this as default behaviour.
