Yellow Fin B.I. Tool is the most user friendly tool that can used to generate amble numbers of Reports.
-Not only that we can customize a Dashboard and link them together to see the current visiblity of all aspects of our business.
-It comes with a lot of standard reports and we can also modify / or create new custom reports according to our need.
-We can create filters to find particular information about any key element.
-Multiple tables/views can be linked without having a programmer do a job to connect the tables.
-All the reports can be shared and broadcasted to other users through email without even loggng in or having to open the software.
-The reports can be exported in the Excel , Word, PDF, CSV files etc.
-Overall the GUI and usability of this software is quite easy for the end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When the reports are big and a lot of database, then it takes a lot of time to open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best features of Yellowfin are: the amount of available connectors, management through views, and the ability to customize each part of the tool by allowing deep embedding. In addition, it's very easy to use and the creation of dashbord and report is very clear.
Also the installation and the implementation it's very straightforward Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
NLQs are not entirely natural language-based and do not entirely allow a business user to do research on the data.
Also the pricing it's difficult to justify sometimes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What i like about the tool is that it is designed in such a way that it is user-friendly, allowing our business users to explore data and create their reports and analysis. Another thing i like is that it includes a lot of features like signals that automatically monitor data for anomalies and critical changes. Also that you can embedd Yellowfin designs into other application Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some other things don't seem to work nicely, like accessing yellowfin using the mobile app or mobile browser Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
YF is easy to use for a person with average experience with BI tools and has a number of features such as report broadcasting and storyboards that make it especially interesting for users that need to keep close to their data but have limited time to access a laptop - users that are site managers on the field for example. The possibility to embed reports is great as it enriches our web dashboard and allows users to access most of their data directly from our application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setting up reports is still relatively slow and issues like for example editing formulas in CASE statements should be made more simple and faster.
In truth we need to prepare reports for most of our users as they cannot by themselves use many basic functions like defining custom fields. Excel still makes it easier to apply formulas to values in creating new fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a great tool. I love how it can spot patterns in our data that I might have missed. The way you can create stories with your data is very simple. Instead of just throwing charts at people, I can walk them through the numbers and build a real narrative around our data. The Stories feature has been a game-changer for our team discussions. It really helps everyone understand the context behind the numbers. Another fantastic feature is Yellowfin Presents, which lets me create templated presentations that update automatically when our data changes. No more exporting to PowerPoint and manually updating charts every month! I can quickly pull up any dashboard on my phone when I'm in meetings, which has saved me so many times. Plus, sharing dashboards with the team is super easy too. Oh, and being able to white-label everything makes it look like our own custom solution when we share it with clients. Like any BI tool, there's a bit of a learning curve at first. The more advanced features take some time to discover and master, especially if you're new to data analytics tools. While the documentation could be more streamlined for finding specific complex answers, the support team more than makes up for it. They've been fantastic at quickly helping me whenever I had questions. Sometimes I spend a few extra clicks fine-tuning my visualizations to get them exactly right, but the end results are always worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have several different sources of data and before implementing Yellowfin's BI software, we had to report from each of those sources separately, and then consolidate the data in Excel. Now, Yellowfin consolidates the data for us and we're easily able to slice and dice from once source and provide a high level of analytics on demand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use a feature to write reports out to an email in a pdf format; we're unable to choose an external file/folder, so we have to make copies and move them manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a Yellowfin BI developer, what I like best about the Yellowfin is its versatility and the powerful API it offers for customization and integration. Yellowfin allows me to create tailored solutions for our clients by providing a wide range of configuration options and seamless integration with various data sources. Whether it's connecting to databases. Yellowfin's flexibility makes it easy to implement a variety of use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
while Yellowfin provides a good range of visualizations, some users sometimes feel limited by the built-in chart options. Although there is the ability to create custom visualizations, the process can be time-consuming and may not offer the same level of ease as other BI tools with more out-of-the-box options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Yellowfin BI seamlessly integrates with various data sources and offers intuitive, user-friendly dashboards. I especially appreciate the storytelling feature, which allows us to add narrative context to data, making it easier to present insights during meetings. The platform's collaborative capabilities, like the discussion threads, have also enhanced our team’s productivity by centralizing communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Yellowfin BI is powerful, it can sometimes exhibit slower performance when handling extremely large datasets. Additionally, the initial learning curve can be steep for new users unfamiliar with BI tools, necessitating comprehensive training sessions to ensure everyone on the team can utilize the platform effectively.
