Top Rated Yac Alternatives

Yac is super intuitive and makes communicating with your team a breeze. The support from the team is fantastic, and the founders obsess over the user experience in a good way! The onboarding and knowledge-share during that time is second to none. Plus, you get introduced to a new and very productive way of working called "asynchronous," if you hadn't already heard of it. This app is the perfect tool to help you and your team achieve no-meeting-nirvana while still staying totally plugged into what everyone is doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing that I can think of. This app is under continuous improvement, and the Yac team is unbelievably accessible to share any concerns, ideas for feature updates, or even technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Yac is the kind of service where, once you start using it, you're surprised that no one made it sooner. It's incredibly useful to be able to quickly create screen recordings and share them, particularly as sharable links that you can send to anyone outside of your organization. The devs are always friendly and responsive, and they seem genuinely dedicated to making the platform the best that it can be. Keep up the good work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI takes some getting used to, especially coming from an app like Slack. Some functions aren't where you'd intuitively expect them to be. But once you get accustomed to it, it's not problematic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Besides being a great tool, Yac brings a new way of collaborating without the need of being in a meeting at the same time regardless of the settings (zoom, on-site...). The tool in itself is easy to use, fast and delightful. It is fun to use Yac daily.
Have you ever thought about how to document your meetings better? Or, maybe you forgot to mention something but the discussion is past, and now you can't make up for it. Well, Yac got your back. Designed to document, (re)iterate, and build up ideas.
We, at CODENATO, can't recommend it enough. It really changed, and it is constantly changing how we work as a team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a tool that requires a lot of cultural change. Therefore, not everyone will understand at first. Some people will need more time to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dynamic communication that allows for users to communicate their tone & inflection which reduces miscommunication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only that I am impatient when I see game changing products like Yac take time for the masses to adopt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I recently was introduced to YAC and I
love the smooth functionality. Your
recordings are automatically
translated using Al and it's pretty
accurate. You can send notes and
continue working while waiting for a
response. It's fun that gifs have been
included but I love that you can get
links for short voice memos you can
post into social media etc. I just use
them for celebratory notes but it's way
more personal to hear my voice
saying Woohoo! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I need to get to know more people who use it. Hoping the review will encourage more people I know to try it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Have you wanted to say something to someone and found it difficult lately? Try talking to them. Seriously, it can be that easy. Just use Yac. They live and breathe this new remote work environment, and they have people who understand it better than anyone. Tyler on their team has been instrumental in helping my company elimiminate meetings from our calendar. You can do screen shares, audio messages, and more with their great cross-platform desktop and mobile apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Yac is a new tool in the toolkit and change is hard. It will take consideration to incorporate something new to your workflow. Fortunately, the app is constantly improving and getting easier and more fun to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think my favorite thing is the transcription feature. Someone can send me a Yac and I can read it like a text message. It's pretty rare that I can't get the gist of the message just from reading it. And of course if anything isn't clear, I can just listen to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app feels a little Beta. Some of the navigation is clunky. They've improved it in the six months or so that I've been using it. Because of the nature of it, I expect it to navigate like Slack or Discord, but it doesn't and that feels non-intuitive. That's really the issue. The navigation does not feel familiar. It's not like email, it's not like Slack. It's just odd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm very new to this all, but I love being able to say what I need to thoughtfully - I also prefer attending to and answering when I can, and Yac makes this possible. I am amazed that it transcribes what I say... mostly right. I claim to think async; I may not be very experienced working in a team this way - but I'm excited to learn more about this product. I often make the mistake of opening a message prematurely, and I'd love to be able to pin messages I'm yet to respond to. The other thing that I would like is to lift phone to my ear to listen to privately should I be in a quiet area... it may be a user error, but if not, would be great. That said, I'm new to it - so would love to learn it more and have yet to do the on-boarding, so I stand to be corrected in these cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can just hop on a Yac and start sharing my thoughts so frictionlessly. It's very high bandwidth communication, compared to written messages; but doesn't require the overhead of scheduling a live call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you aren't thoughtful about where to fit Yac into your communication stack, it can become "just another notification to deal with. Discipline in what/how you use Yac for is required! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using the Yac app is like a cash-back credit card but for time! I have less than 5% of the meetings I used to. I put my entire team on Yac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have nothing bad to say about Yac except that they improve the app so much and fast I have a hard time keeping up with them! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity of quick voicemail drops with auto-transcription that you can reply to in the free moments of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No downsides found as of yet. Very straightforward UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
