I wouldn't consider it a downside, but the initial implementation of XpertCoding does require a small time investment to ensure accuracy and to train the system to capture the unique documentation style of each practice. XpertCoding is a fast, highly efficient method to check the coding and bill out a large volume of medical charts. I also really like the online dashboard that can be tailored to our needs but presents the number of charts coded, the average billing level per day/month/quarter. The dashboard also allows us to break down the the coding by office and even provider including daily updates on all charts that are upcoded or downcoded. The issues that I have with XpertCoding stem from the amount of effort we had to expend to get the program to work best for our patient population and type of office.
