What do you like best about X?
The architecture of X somehow results in less memory usage than Wayland. That makes it particularly good on weaker devices. Also, certain functionality benefits from X's anything-can-see-anything security model, such as screen sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about X?
Other than the looming threat from the security model, there actually is a user-perceptible difference: I can't get 60FPS video to play through X.
Oh and having to run apps through this extra Xwayland system harms me spiritually 😅 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
