Everything just works. I don't need be a programmer/developer (which I am definitely not), and I can count on all the plugins working together. Any time I've had an issue (technical, billing, etc.), they have resolved the problem within the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I got in early when they were starting out, so I was able to lock in at what is probably a better price than could be had now. Even though some hosting rates have gone up, the value keeps increasing. I will remain a happy customer for years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WPMU Dev offers a lot! I have just transferred from my host as I was using the WPMU Dev pro plugins which I liked and thought it would be easier to do everything in one place.
The plugins are great but I am probably not using them to the full capacity. It's taken a while to realise what other plugins etc I can get rid of to replace with their functionality. For example, I was previously paying for a plugin that did subscriptions and I no longer need to do this as I have the forminator plugin now.
Whilst the pro plugins are great, the best thing is the customer service team. They are always immediately available and really helpful. This wan't the case with my last host. I would probably recommend transferring for the good customer service alone. It's a very rare thing to get skilled and responsive real people at a time when everyone else seems to be changing to automated bots. Please never change this! WPMU Dev seems to be set up predominantly for people with an advanced level of technical knowledge. They offer a lot more than other hosting services, but this can make it quite overwhelming. They give you a lot more than my last host but it has been a steep learning curve. There is advice available but one bit of advice often links to another and you seem to have to read a lot to achieve things.
I am dyslexic and their text-based advice is difficult, it could be written in a more accessible way.
I'm not complaining about the level of the offer or service (that's great), but the advice seems to have been written by technical people who seem to make a lot of assumptions. The amount of things to consider and the pages and pages of guidance is overwhelming! The saving grace is the customer service team. They are fantastic and have guided me through everything. The staff on the chat line are amazing. I've been saved countless times by these guys and girls who talk me through complex applications. They are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile- including cleaning out the malware from an infected site and walking me through simple tasks like email setup. I feel like the annual fees are worth it, when i know i have someone super smart and knowledgable at the other end of the chat whenever something goes wrong with one of my blogs. Invaluable!
The plugins are also pretty amazing, and I like that they just keep getting better too. So many great little developments and tweaks to the plugins over the years, and each time it helps streamline my Wordpress plugins as I can keep them all with the same company and know they are easy to manage with the Wordpress interface or with the hub. It's not a cheap product. I can see that might be difficult for some smaller blogs and hobby bloggers, but its worth taking the leap and spending the money on such efficient hosting providers, because of the additional help you get and the plugins. The advice alone would have cost me more if i had used fiverr over the past 12 months. WPMU DEV support is second to none, over the years I have had dozens of conversations with support staff & it is rare that they can't resolve an issue or at the very least point me in the right direction to get my own answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One main feature that is missing from WPMU DEV as an agency owner is the ability to have a team member be able to access the chat support to resolve problems for my customers. There is a 24-hour live chat, with real knowledgeable experts at hand (not salespeople like other companies). The support you get from WPMU when you use their plugins and also their hosting is exceptional. Had a conversation with Luigi Di Benedetto on the live chat today, he was available immediately and resolved my issue in less than 10 minutes. Nothing, but if I had to choose something, and I do because G2 forces you to, their suite of plugins if quite expensive if you are just running them on a single website. That said, for the support you get, I think it is worth every penny.
I did also report a bug in one of their plugins 'formulator', that makes it incompatible with the site 'clone' feature (also a wpmu feature). I reported that bug almost 2 years ago and I never heard back, so I have no idea if the bug was ever resolved or not. Either it was resolved and no one told me, so a follow-up would be nice. WPMU DEV offers all in one service with all the plugins needed. I have been using Bluehost until now, and I've had to have accounts on different platforms to accommodate my website needs. Moving to WPMU DEV was the best decision! I'm not a tech person, and I worried it might be too complicated. It's not difficult; the best part is that the customer service guys are amazing. Whatever I asked for help with, they've been so helpful!
