This felt like an accurate assessment, testing what I would be able to accomplish under my own pressure. I loved how with the simulation you were given the proper tools in order to succeed beforehand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't like the time alloted for each one of the assesments. I feel like in a way it eliminates my critical thinking and forces me to make quick and irrational decisions due to my time constraints. I think this can be fixed by splitting the time to understand and then answer the question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how Woven has problems that relate to real life. While taking the coding test I felt like I was apart of a team and I had received a ticket that needs to resolved. I really liked how all questions weren't the same. As the first question focused more on the communication between devs and other teams. The other two questions followed a step by step approach. Really liked where I had to work on an API first of a coding sisuation and then build out the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As it was my first time using Woven, I did not dislike anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At Woven, I was presented with challenges that closely mirrored the actual work I would be performing. Rather than facing a generic Python problem that do not reflect the actual job skills I would use on my day to day work, I was tasked with solving a real-world issue that allowed me to effectively demonstrate my problem-solving and communication skills. It took me a while to get used to the interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Woven was the first company from the segment of coding challenger which return an honest feedback to me. Not only a feedback show-me which task I have succeeded or not but a description of my approach, what was good or not and which points I could be better. That’s means a lot for me specially in times where we have algorithms selecting candidates, a feedback about what was done instead of only what was correct or not it is a big win. Nothing comes to my mind at this point, it was a good experience have the Woven challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I was particularly impressed with Woven's intuitive and streamlined interface. Navigating through the assessment scenarios was seamless, allowing me to focus entirely on demonstrating my data analysis skills without any technical distractions. The platform's clear instructions and structured layout made it easy to manage my time effectively, especially with the built-in timers for each scenario. Additionally, the integration of helpful resources and guides within Woven provided valuable support, ensuring that I was well-prepared to tackle each task confidently. One area where Woven could improve is the limited customization options for the coding environment. While the provided tools like Python and PostgreSQL are robust, having the ability to personalize the workspace with additional libraries or plugins could enhance the overall user experience. Additionally, the absence of an autocomplete feature significantly slowed down my coding process, making it more challenging to write code efficiently under time constraints. During high-pressure, time-limited scenarios, the platform occasionally experienced minor lag issues, which were distracting and slightly hindered my workflow. Addressing these technical glitches and incorporating features like autocomplete would further elevate Woven’s reliability and performance during assessments. Woven does a great job of testing real-world skills(practically) rather than just theory knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the scenarios feel rushed due to the time limits, Specially when dealing with complex problems. It would be great to have more practice materials to get a feel for the format before diving into an actual assessment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The part that I like most about the Woven is the use of practical work scenarios relevant to the position you are seeking. Contrary to other programs that contain abstract problems or questions closely associated with algorithms, Woven presents genuine-life cases that are suitable for the workplace. It also provides specific information, which is especially useful for candidates and employers to enhance their efficiency in terms of matching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one disadvantage that might be associated with the use of Woven is the fact that real- life cases are helpful but can consume lots of time and may not capture the flow and working style of candidates as they work. The candidates might experience some difficulties if for any reason they do not know the particular tools or frameworks used in the assessment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a designer, the interview process can be really exhausting - despite having a portfolio that showcases my skills, designers are often hit with long, drawn-out tasks specified by recruiters as part of the interview process, which end up being significant time commitments, and without any feedback sometimes. Woven felt different—it felt like the company cared about my time, and came up with a clear, streamlined, and professional way to assess my skills without taking time away from my schedule. provided a way for recruiters to assess my design thinking skills without taking excessive time from my schedule. It was both efficient and refreshing, and showed me that the company cared about their designers time and effort. Honestly- after a month of searching, it felt like a breathe of fresh air in the tedious interview landscape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The preliminary explanation mentioned a lot of things about code, which for my position as a UX/UI designer, didn't apply, but it made me worry that the position was focused on code. After reading about it and getting familiar with the space, I decided to proceed with the test, and found that it was then explained that my test wouldn't include any coding. I think it should be clear from the beginning, and only relevant information should appear to applicants in cases like that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have come to know about Woven from Vanhack and found it really awesome. Being a Software Developer I can say that skills evaluated on this platforms make a perfect sense because you are evaluated on real problems where unlike automated AI based solutions OR other coding platforms cannot evaluate your skills properly. Imagine, a college pass student who has practice tons of datastructure problems can easily crack the DS problems. But what about real software problems. DS based or coding based tests are not the real skills test because it is just a matter of practice. A guy having 10 years of industry experience who daily face the real time problems has no touch with DS and that means according to AI/Coding platforms this 10 year experience guy is not a perfect candidate but a fresher is perfect candidate. LOL.
In regard to feedback, I got the feedback point to point as if my senior has shared the tips with me for areas to improve and for areas I am best in.
So, if you want a perfect match for your team. Test the skills on Woven. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I interacted with Woven first time and as of now I have found nothing. Maybe need to spend more time on it doing practices. Would be really nice if developers can practice on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Woven was a great way to do my technical interview for my internship application. I liked how easy it was to create and run your own tests in real time. I also liked how the assessment provided opportunities to figure out how to solve real problems, rather than re-using some leetcode problem people have already memorized ages ago. The UI is easy to learn, looks clean, and is responsive. Overall, I had a great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was this library that I used for the coding assessment in my job interview that was permanently highlighted red. It didn't give me any issues in compilation/execution, but it was just a minor inconvenience at worst. Hopefully the triviality of this issue goes to show that Woven is a solid tool for these kinds of interviews.
Also, this might just be because I reapplied to the same place as last year, but the two questions asked were pretty much identical to last year. If that's on your end, I'd advise coming up with some new questions so people who reapplied like me don't get an unfair advantage as to how to solve these problems.
