Wistia has been a valuable tool for our marketing efforts. I particularly appreciate the detailed analytics, which provide us with clear insights into viewer engagement. The ability to customize the video player and add lead capture forms has also been very beneficial. I find the platform easy to use, and it has helped us improve the effectiveness of our video marketing campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unlike platforms like YouTube, Wistia is primarily a hosting platform, not a video discovery or social platform. This means it doesn't offer the same built-in audience or promotional features. You'll need to drive traffic to your Wistia-hosted videos through your own marketing efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Wistia for a while, and they rolled out a feature that makes repurposing content so much easier—automatically cutting long videos into short-form clips (like Reels and Shorts). I tried it out, and it works surprisingly well! The AI picks out key moments, saving tons of editing time.
For marketers, this is a huge win. Instead of manually trimming and optimizing content for different platforms, Wistia does the heavy lifting. Their analytics and engagement tracking helps us understand how these videos are working (or not working).
If you create video content and want an easy way to scale it across different formats, this is definitely worth checking out.
Lastly, the platform is very easy to use - which is just great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything that I dislike about Wistia, aside from the price, which can be a bit high—especially when you keep adding new videos, as the cost keeps rising. But overall, it's a great tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My team currently hosts every video we make on Wistia, so it's fair to say we use it every day. Our videos come in lots of different sizes, types, and styles, and Wistia makes it easy to organize them internally in a way that makes sense AND externalize them in a way that's meaningful to users. Strong analytics help us understand how our videos are being used (or AREN'T being used, as the case may be), and are fine-grained enough to answer questions that matter for a global team like us.
Wistia's stance on integration is that links, embed codes, and stuff like that should be flexible enough to fit anyone's use case. If Wistia formally plugs-in to any other service, I'm not aware of it and we don't use it. I actually prefer it this way; plug-ins break, but links are way more resilient.
Wistia's browser UI is easy to read and easy to navigate, so making minor customization (player color, thumbnails, etc.) is quick and painless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wistia's analytics are great, but automated reporting leaves something to be desired. Executives tend to have very specific requirements re: reports, and I don't think Wistia lets me customize a daily/weekly/monthly report that would satisfy leaders. Instead, I build that report manually. Not a big deal, but it's worth noting.
Wistia's access controls are a little lacking. What if I want a user to have admin access to one set of videos, but not another, for example? If that's possible, I haven't seen a way to do it easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would say that uploads and downloads basically could not be faster or easier. Basic customizations like thumbnails and the way the player looks are really handy and helpful. I like being able to organize videos into folders and channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform changes the way commenting works very frequently. I spend a lot of time tracking down the latest menu where toggling comments on and off can be found. It also puts a transcript in the same place where comments are, and keeping the transcript is necessary for closed captioning to be available at all, but I feel the transcript being so visible draws focus away from the video. Wistia provides a way to store all of your video content in an organized fashion. In addition to that, my main focus is webinars. They helped me onboard to the WistiaLive platform and made sure I understood the features. I love the WistiaLive platform - I came over from GoTo. We do both prerecorded and live webinars. The organization of having the videos, the ppt, and all the customization to the webinar page done and in the platform makes it easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's sometimes some lag on the live webinars and especially in the recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how easy is it to upload a video to Wistia and then share it anywhere I need to. I can then gather data on who has watched my videos and for how long. They even have a great service for captioning my videos so that our Deaf and Hard of Hearing members can also watch our videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that the Webinar feature had the ability to schedule reoccurring Webinars, that's the only thing stopping us from moving our Weekly Webinars over to Wistia Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wistia is very robust when it comes to multiple users and different roles, folder systems and organization is awesome. The analytics are better than most other video platforms and Wistia goes way deeper than YouTube and Vimeo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is too high, especially when we are constantly adding new videos daily and our rate just continues to rise. The organization can be buggy at times and trying to push a video from the top to the very bottom is not ideal to put into another folder/section. There has to be a better way to add files to sections easier instead of waiting for the videos to load in the list, a very slow process. Editing a video can be buggy too and sometimes the same link will not be used and a new link will be created if something goes wrong which is a huge mistake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Wistia is simple to upload, edit, and create lists of videos to share with anyone, and it has built-in analytics around usage. It's also easy to replace a video everywhere by just replacing the video in Wistia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to edit the transcript if the video changes and I wish there were more details about analytics without needing to open analytics for each individual video. Like I'd love to see a way to see analytics for engagement summarized at the channel level that includes how much of each video was watched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the things we like best about Wistia is how seamlessly it supports our podcast hosting and distribution. The platform makes it easy to manage our episodes, track engagement with detailed analytics, and provide a high-quality listening experience for our audience. The intuitive interface and branding options also allow us to maintain a professional and polished presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One challenge we've encountered with Wistia is its pricing structure, which can be a bit restrictive as our content library grows. Additionally, while the platform excels in video and podcast hosting, some advanced customization options for audio-focused content could be improved to better suit our needs. I use Wistia services daily, as it's our media library that' we've intergrated into our SaaS platform. It easy to use when dealing with video and media uploads, and with more and more services veing provided, it's becoming even more evident that we'll need to implement update updates on our side to further intergrate services within on our own platform. Plus the few times' I've dealt with customer survices have been very plesent and the team memebers are very knowledgable with a quick turnaround time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to find something to dislike, but from my perspective as a desinger, and someone who is very visual, I find the interface can be a bit hard to navigate from time to time. I've gotten lost on more than one ocassion in the past looking for something. But as someone who's been working online for over 30 yrs, I can see the benifits to keeping a simplified interface active, so I'm not to sure this counts as a dislike. As a Marketing Director, having Wistia integrate seamlessly with our social media platforms, ESP, and website is crucial. It has helped us take our content game to the next level. The analytics from all of those streaming locations as an aggregate add to the simplicity of reporting! I haven't found a platform that handles all these aspects in an easy-to-use fashion. It was easily implemented, and I use it weekly to post our podcasts to YouTube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything that I dislike about Wistia! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
