Mails have changed the world, and now we send mail for not just passing information, but also for Marketing, Sending Files and more. This started getting more complicated when we started sharing files with the help of Mails. It's easy to attach files on Mails, but when we're required to share huge size files it's not possible. You can either share the Drive link or can transfer the data through other medium like WeTransfer. Sharing Data is super easy with Wetransfer and here are the things which I found good about it:
- Files are saved in the Cloud Server and it doesn't fill your space.
- Files can be shared with the email or Transfer Link.
- Person also receives notification if the recipient has downloded your file.
- Transfer speed is super fast and one can share the files from any place, even without logging in to WeTransfer.
- It's accessible from both Desktop and Phone, thus making it easy to use.
- A total of 2Gb data can be shared at one time.
- WeTransfer comes with 2 Pack; Free and Pro. I thinking of upgrading myself to Pro, as it's offering 1TB Cloud Storage and the transfer limit also increases to 200Gb Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
WeTransfer has helped me a lot of times, but I can also can't deny the fact that it has lots of things that can be improved. Following are mentions which I don't like about WeTransfer:
- Their Limit; One can transfer files only up to 2Gb in one go. I think this limit should be increased, as there's no limit on daily transfer. Thus, restrictions forced me to transfer the files many times.
- If the uploaded process is cut in because of some Network Problem, there's no chance of resuming the transfer from where it has stopped. You will have to reupload the files.
- The Validity date of storing the files is significantly less. I think they should at least provide an alert, something like, "Your Files are about to Expire. Download them before they expire."
I have lost many of my files because of this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- it allows upto 2 GB to be transfered or to share on clould for free.
- You can share files or whole folders in a single link.
- It's versatile you can share it as a link in emails, whatsapp etc., or direcytly mail it to the recipicent without the need of signing in.
- You can use it unlimited number of times without paying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Sometimes the ads are irritating and distractive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ability and flexibility that WeTransfer provides, allowing me to send and receive large and sometimes enormous files and documents. This system will enable me to send and receive large presentations, documents, and audio files. Because of their large size and limitations of e-mail inboxes, We Transfer provides me with a conduit to send and receive these files. Files can easily be accessed via links sent. Data sent in files can be asily intergated into software that I use. When i have files that are too large to send in a regular e-mail I frequently / often use WeTransfer to fo the job. The system is easy to sue and can be simply accessed and implemented. Its so simple and works so well that I have never needed to call the Customer Support line. Sometimes when using the system, it takes a while to upload my file. It occasionally takes a while to download a file sent to me. This minor issue is usually because of the size of the file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is suitable for all audiences and is ideal for teams and professionals. It has options to work with very large files and share them without time limit.
One of the best things about Wetransfer is that an account is not required to send files. It's as simple as entering the email addresses and you're done. A real solution to send high quality documents and photos without problems.
The upload and download speed is amazing, and generous size limits mean I can ship whatever I need without hassle.
Since I use this tool, I no longer have to worry about the space in my email or about compressing files. The ability to send up to 2 GB in the free version is a big plus.
I love the download notification feature of Wetransfer. It is very useful to know when my recipients have downloaded the files I have sent them.
Security is crucial to me, and Wetransfer more than meets. I always feel safe when sending confidential files through this platform, knowing that they are protected and encrypted.
Wetransfer also has an App to use from your mobile phone that is just as easy and useful to use from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I could improve the layout of the page to make it more attractive. Only for aesthetics and differentiation. Maybe more colors, bigger the user form and password Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For file transfers 2GB or less it is free and easy to use. No need for sign up just verify email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not ideal for viewing video files within the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The versatility and speed of use. Submitting files is really easy for multiple formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The impossibility of having a configurable profile in the free version. This makes it impossible to have shipping statistics and usage trends as a user (the one who sends) and statistics for (the ones who receive). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How simple it is. You just upload the files, put the address of the one you send it to, yours, confirm the email they send you, and that's it. And it's free up to 2G... which is rare to upload a file that weighs more. I have always been working with the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps in the free version, the limit on file size or the time allowed to download them could be increased, but come on, both are not bad as they are now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With we transfer we quickly share files with our external providers, in this way we avoid saving things in our cloud of things that we will not need in the future, an important thing that the links are active for a maximum of 2 weeks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The limit of free transfers is a maximum of 2GB of data per link, if you want to send heavier things, you must buy the pro license, it removes all the limitations, another thing is that if you forget to download the files after those two weeks, they will already be deleted by the server Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customize ability for the background to be your companies. The easy way to either send as an email or a copied link. And the easy way to send multiple files at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not sure about the pricing, as I don't pay it myself but my company does, I'm betting it's not the cheapest option, and I'm also not sure it's the safest when it comes to sending private info, so we have switched away from it and mostly used SharePoint now with Microsoft and teams. I love that WeTransfer makes sending large files so easily to my clients. One of the best features is that We Transfer lets me know when the client has downloaded the files. Another great feature is that We Transfer will archive the file on their server for up to a year! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing that I can think of. there is so much to love about WeTransfer because it's so simple and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
