Limited Features for Competitive Marketing. Also, it can't host a blog internally which really limits content marketing. I've been doing lots more content marketing with my clients lately to gain marketshare and organic traffic. You have to use Article Pages on Volusion so you can sort of do it but it's not like having an embedded blog.

Support is rough.

They recently disincluded the Slack Channel which was awesome for getting quick help with accountability through a constant thread. That was a very strange move to kill that. That alone left one of my clients pretty high and dry and pushed them to look for other options, unfortunately.

The chat solution is the same one they used back in 2010 when I was a retailer and it's really bad. It resets the screen and often kicks you 50% of the time. I was on chat for 5 hours last week and got kicked 4 times, lol. Very frustrating. Also, nobody could really answer my question precisely about the issue with variants the client had.

If you have a serious question or feature request you can't submit a ticket which is really weird. The phone number is hidden but even if you find it I'm not sure I've ever gotten anyone to answer over the handful of times I've called over the last 30 days. Most times it just loops in the queue and I give up and abandon the request or figure it out myself with a workaround.

Some of the shipping/free shipping options are really limited with free shipping limited to global settings with very few options.

Volusion doesn't integrate with about 80% of the regular SAAS tools I like. However, it does integrate with Stone Edge Order Manager and that can be a powerful combination for scaling up a turnkey website and ERP combo. For beginner e-commerce peeps getting started this is a great way to go to keep things simple.
