Visualping is a useful website for tracking changes to external websites that I use in my day to day job. I have used Visualping in multiple positions to track updates. Currently I use it to track changes to and external pdf o be able to track when the group releases a new version without having to check the website everyday. False positives used to be an issue with Visualping but I feel like their AI and sensitivity settings has improved over the years and I do not receive those false positives anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very simple to set up and offers a variety of options including visual pixel-by-pixel comparison, text, and the ability to specify elements / % change thresholds to limit false positives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I would improve is that currently, if you are monitoring a specific element for changes (like a published date text box), there is no way to have the email notification highlight ALL differences on the page (like the text changes in other elements). The setup is easy and intuitive. I was up and running monitoring 3 websites for changes within 10 minutes. I get notifications each day that the websites change, which allows me to be early in event registration when timing matters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's really nothing I don't like about the Visualping service. It works as promised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Visualping notifies me directly when a particular government webpage is updated, saving me the tedium of daily checks. It literally turns a useless outdated page into a useful source of information. It is easy to set up and has worked very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For my use case, I have found no downsides. Occasionally I will get a notification for something very minor, like changing the date in the footer, but i am glad the bot is paying closer attention than I would! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It tracks changes in websites that are not otherwise trackable by RSS. I wanted to keep tabs on a number of company employment pages -- I couldn't create RSS feeds out of many of them, even using paid tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could turn text changes into an RSS style feed or send a summary email.
Sometimes the change indicators are confusing -- especially for visual. Needs indicators of what red and green mean to know what is new and what was removed.
I also want to run all of my checks at the same time each week. It would be nice to be able to preset a time. The workflow to do this is a bit cumbersome and must be repeated for each search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I used to obsess about my comptition and would be checking their websites every few days. It was like a monkey on my shoulder, and took up too much brain space. But now I just made a job on VisualPing and don't think about it anymore. They just email me when something changes on their websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could scan more pages on each domain without having to make a bunch of separate jobs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visualping excels at what it's designed for – monitoring website changes. The setup process is straightforward, and the tool allows you to track specific parts of a webpage, not just the entire page. This granularity is a real plus when you're interested in monitoring a particular section for updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visualping offers a free plan, but it's quite limited in terms of the number of pages you can monitor and the frequency of checks. This might not be a major issue for occasional users, but if you need more robust monitoring, you'll have to upgrade to a paid plan, which can be a bit pricey for personal use. There are some Web pages I monitor that don't use RSS/Atom or don't use them correctly so I'm not alerted to new or changed content. Visualping fills that gap. I've only ever used it for free, so I'm limited in how many sites and checks I can do so I am more strategic and less timely than I might otherwise be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like more timely updates on the pages I monitor, but it's not possible in the free bucket without exhausting the free checks. (This review is a result of incentivized solicitation by Visualping though its content is not influenced by them) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WE at ICA use visualping to monitor the Italian consulate's website, to keep up to date their instructions for some procedures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I receive too many emails regarding changes I am not interested with (such as social media features). But I understand that every change needs to be notified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Visualping helps me to see when tour dates open up for an exclusive event. The tour company only allows sign-ups via their website, and only announces when sign-ups will open via their website. Visualping helps me to know when I need to be ready to register, and was easy to set up with a "click here then watch this" interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish more people knew about it! I have told several friends about it, and they agree it is a useful tool when trying to work with small companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
