When approaching Virtua, no reply. When approaching their senior management on Linked-In, semi-interested reply. When finally following up, sales persons seem unaware of basic things like time-difference. Zero interest, seemingly, for international business. Even when given direct contact details, still fail to contact. Such a shame. I was willing to do away with our current system and was already sold on their product, but their sheer incompetence in communication has left me wondering what the real customer experience is. Virtuagym was brought to me by one of their sales representatives who made me believe that the application would specifically meet all my expectations, such as the integration of the virtuagym calendar with my Google calendar.
They don't offer any free trial and you therefore have to risk a much higher price than some competitors like MY PT HUB who offer exactly the same thing for 4 times less. Dissatisfied with the product, they not only refused me a refund ($474) but wanted to force me to pay for a 3-month commitment ($175/month) for a product that I will not be using. As a system, the Gateway Region YMCA loves the engagement features included in the system; a Facebook news-like feed, challenges, goal tracking. We have been very pleased with the number of features included in the app. We have enjoyed working with our Account Manager, MariLu. As a YMCA, our clientele ranges from young to old. Part of what drew us to Virtuagym is its mobile app component AND corresponding website option. This has been very helpful in reaching our seniors. However, some features are not available on the website. And we struggled a little at launching the app because we didn't want people to create their own accounts. The onboarding to the new system was superb and we have been supported by our own dedicated account manager throughout. The member app is the best I have seen and very configurable. Our members have been very positive and we have some great feedback. The new business analytics reporting module is very fast to load and gives you all the ma engagement insights you could want, but you can also export the entire database if necessary and create your own reports and filters. The "groups" feature is like having your own internal Facebook group and is so easy to use. This is supported by some great marketing tools that allow you to create your own adverts within the ad. The main programming and workout tool has thousands of exercises, all virtual exercise demos and you can you these to simply create your own workouts and share with members. The built-in partner FOOD app is also great and recently has been updated to improve it further. It is like My Fitness Pal with all the same features but no integration is necessary as it is built into each client's app. They can use this for tracking food, macros, nutrients and for food diaries. The friendly and knowledgeable staff have been great! Robyn was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions before signing on. Mateo did a great job in explaining the features, how to use each system setting, setting up membership, and has been extremely helpful as I launched the software to my clients. I love that I am able to book a call with him in a reasonable amount of time so I can help answer any of mine or my clients' questions as we go live. Thank you!!
