I see Vevox as a comprehensive, well thought out tool which is evolving all the time. I find it very intuitive to use and there are lots of online resources to reference and the support is second to none. I have used it extensively within our teams to run basic questionnaires, word clouds, to gather data and have used it for gamification in training and development. We as a team have even used it as part of our monthly meetups where we take it in turn to run quizzes where the losers run the next one! Its integration with PowerPoint has made it a seamless experience with our users and it’s easy to implement it withing our Teams calls and meetings. Vevox is a very easy platform to use, and can be used in a variety of ways, which makes it perfect for our University. All that is needed to get started is an internet connection and a web browser, and as long as participants have a web-enabled device they can join and take part. The major drawback is the need to download separate software on the presenting desktop. This poses a challenge in large public areas, like conferences, where not all desktops are pre-installed with the app, often necessitating connecting my laptop. Additionally, the updates in the latest version are not easily compatible with PowerPoint presentations as they were in previous versions. Excellent tools and functionality. Polls are really easy to set up and the user interface is clear and professional. Users can easily navigate to the session and participate. Vevox offers an excellent way of interacting with students without requiring them to raise their hands, speak out loud in a public space (like a lecture theatre) or identify themselves in any way. This increases the likelihood of honest (or any) interactions. The students enjoy using the software.

There is quite a lot to get you head around in the first instance regarding the functionality of the software.

However, the customer support is excellent and when I was struggling to deal with some of the formatting issues for using polls, Kate B., quickly responded to my requests for help and eventually set up a Teams meeting with me to talk me through the steps with which I was struggling.

I really liked how easy it was to create questions using the Vevox interface. It was very intuitive, and integrating the questions into PowerPoint slides was seamless. I especially appreciated how the questions pop up in the app exactly when they appear on the slides during the presentation.

It allows students to interact without thinking that they have to expose themselves if they want to ask a question. So for instance, if you launch an assignment, you can ask students to ask questions anonymously and they feel braver to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am not overly keen on the graphics but they are adaptable - it's just that it takes a bit of time to do it and if I haven't used it for a while, I forget and have to learn all over again.
