I see Vevox as a comprehensive, well thought out tool which is evolving all the time. I find it very intuitive to use and there are lots of online resources to reference and the support is second to none. I have used it extensively within our teams to run basic questionnaires, word clouds, to gather data and have used it for gamification in training and development. We as a team have even used it as part of our monthly meetups where we take it in turn to run quizzes where the losers run the next one! Its integration with PowerPoint has made it a seamless experience with our users and it’s easy to implement it withing our Teams calls and meetings. The use of a mobile phone is seen by our colleagues as easy and non-confusing with the other option of opening another browser window. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no real aspects of Vevox which I dislike. I would love to be part of product development or beta test new features with our teams if that is something they get customers to participate in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Vevox allows student to engage and interact with peers through Polls when used for quizzes in class sessions. This gives an opportunity to see aspects that may be confusing to students and how they can address their learning. Explanations can be shown on screen and later shared for them to refer to later on. Students like the multiple choice questions; even with multiple answers; ranking, pin on image and surveys also can be used as offline quizzes for students to do on their own time. A minor downside would be when having multiple questions (poll questions) in a session; there is a need to open the session and clear responses before they can be re-opened again which can disrupt the flow when these have not been set-up earlier on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an Educational Technologist, I appreciate Vevox's user-friendly interface, which simplifies the process of training lecturers to incorporate interactive elements into their sessions. The platform's seamless integration with PowerPoint allows educators to embed polls and quizzes directly into their presentations, facilitating real-time student engagement. Additionally, Vevox's anonymous feedback feature encourages participation from all students, creating a more inclusive learning environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some lecturers have experienced a flickering cursor when using the Vevox PowerPoint add-in on Windows systems. This behaviour appears to be related to how Office 365 add-ins operate within the Windows environment and is not specific to Vevox. While this issue can be distracting, it doesn't affect the add-in's functionality. According to Vevox's support documentation, this is a known behaviour and does not impact the overall performance of the presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very easy to use. Even when switching to more advanced features, they're still straightforward. Documentation is clear whenever you need additional information. Support is amazing.
The main functionalities used were:
Poll questions via PowerPoint add-in integrated with our presentations. Live reporting on the number of people who managed to join. Live reporting on the audience who had time to answer the poll
We also used the paid function of quizzes and leaderboard. Nice touch on allowing to use background music for the quiz answer time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have not used SSO since we didn't purchase the Institution subscription, because we're self-funded for now. The only issue we found is that we couldn't purchase a month subscription, rather the site listed only yearly subscription. We still managed to handle that by contacting sales and the support there was beautiful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I love most about Vevox is the motivated team, especially the CSMs like Louis Terry and Lewis Thompson, who have been instrumental in helping us get value from the tool. Their support, including documents, videos, and webinars, is excellent. Regular cafes with them have fostered strong relationships with stakeholders, leading to valuable use cases. For instance, in our Wells business, Vevox is used for training hundreds of users before exams, and the self-paced quizzing feature is fantastic. Another example is using Vevox polling in town halls to facilitate safety conversations. The PowerPoint integration makes presentations seamless. Overall, Vevox is easy to administer and manage, with great support information for end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of feedback and agility from the dev team to respond to customer feedback- for instance -we have shared a list of feedback and product improvements . This has been shared directly from the business - however I have not seen any progress on the feedback shared .
I would like regular updates from the dev team on this - Louis and Lewis have the list of updates . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am a University professor teaching a range of class sizes (up to almost 300 students). I have tried several different audience participation apps since my University starting phasing out clickers and Vevox has been by far the best. It is not silly and gimmicky like some (which are more suitable for younger students). It has more flexibility in answer length and number of answers possible for multiple choice questions. It has a range of different question types. The customer service is OUTSTANDING. I have had personalised sessions where I discussed ways I thought the software could be improved and they listened and in the meantime I was given workarounds to try. The interface is simple and easy, but that is a disadvantage as well as an advantage -- some features/settings (accessing former questions, for example, and timing of question presentation) are very difficult to find. The Q&A page is separate from the quizzing pages, and I don't get notified if a student has put something on the Q&A page when I am running quizzes. All in all, these are fairly minor. Easy to use, with several more features than its competitors. I like the features of multiple choice questions, pin in the image, and word clouds, as they allow my students to feel less intimidated by giving answers during my lectures. I will try to also use the Q&A feature, as this is not typically found in these types of software. I use it about twice a week, for my lectures and my seminars, which are addressed to about 60 students each time. Customer support is always ready to answer my questions, so this is also a very important aspect of using Vevox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything that I really dislike about this software, as it is overall fun and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how Vevox is very simple and so engaging to use - even technophobes can join in the fun! It brings a fun and engaging element to what could be a mundane presentation, our students are always excited to take part in interactive activities, especially quizzes using Vevox. Not much to be honest - sometimes it's hard to express to potential users how effective it can be, without giving an actual demonstration. So it may be dismissed as something that is "too technical" or "too gimmicky" until it's actual demonstrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
An easy to use bunch of fantastic tools for engagement - really helps boost activity and responses from audiences of all sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No downsides to report yet, all runs smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vevox is a tool that not only supports with engagement, but has features that one can utilize for a multitude of purposes. Quizzing, anonymous feedback, inspiring conversations, polling. It is a tool that allows users to be engaged and be inclusive - all at the tip of your fingers. I have used Vevox countless times in preparation for a virtual event of all types - informational sessions, trivia sessions, online quizzing, data gathering etc. The Vevox PPT plug-in was a game changer and made life a lot easier to work directly from PPT versus having to create everything from the dashboard and present from browser - super easy to download. It makes presenting and editing while presenting very simple and fluid. I have an internal team that supports the app, as well as externally directly from Vevox available should arise. I do not have any negative experiences utilizing Vevox. The only thing that I may mention is potential confusion on connecting the PPT plug in to an actual session - navigating to generate an authentication code, but if a user can put in their email, it connects via SSO. Very minor example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use it in my 4th year finance class. The students seem much more engaged when I use it and it clearly makes a difference to exam performance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't export the questions from a session, which is unfortunate. The students like the questions so much they want to see them again for practice. It seems hard to provide that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
