As a highed ed institution, when we provide captioning, it must meet ADA standards, which means a human checks the captioning generate by AI. Generally Verbit provides an excellent turnaround time on captioning. This is especially important when students with accommodations are waiting for a captioned video. Accuracy is outstanding. As a medical institution, there are a multitude of technical terms. We can provide documentation to Verbit of terminology that the human checkers may not be familiar with, in order to enhance the accuracy of the captioning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As stated initially, overall we are please with Verbit. On rare occasions there is a lag in turnaround time for captioning. I am not sure how to resolve this issue, just brininging it to Verbit's attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to select how long it will take to have my captions returned to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface can sometimes be confusing to use, especially when uploading multiple vidoes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I first used Verbit during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020. My college was required to go fully online with all our classes, and this meant making hours of lecture videos. But to comply with regulations, we needed captions, and properly and accurately captioning a video takes almost double the length of any given video. So, using Verbit saved me hours and hours of time. Instead of spending time watching and rewatching my videos for captioning, Verbit consistently produced near perfect captioning for all my videos, always getting my files back within a business day. Verbit is easy to use as it produces many different file types that are compatible with popular services like YouTube. I don't know what I would have done without it. I highly recommend it to anyone who quickly needs accurate captions for their videos without any hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing about Verbit I dislike. It was easy to learn, easy to use, and super convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Verbit customer service is superb! There is no time that I contact them that my problem is not resolved and in a very timely manner! I have been a johnny come lately with making requests and they always do their best to accommodate. There has not been even one time that they have not been able to meet the accommodation need. My students have only good things to say about the service and they are always looking to improve the product and services available to partners. Absolutely love my rep, David! Can't say enough good things about him. Keeps me abreast of new developments and takes my ideas back to the team. Absolutely love the new GenV. I think our students will love its features as well given that it will help them with studying!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are two things that I dislike and they are 1) quarterly billing is not really quarterly; if you go over what they billed you, they still bill you before the next quarter. And 2) If you schedule late and make a mistake it becomes semi-permanent cost-wise. You have to reach out to your rep to get charges removed though you just made the request a minute ago, and you just made a mistake and want to correct it. So be very careful when scheduling late appointments to check and recheck everything! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few things I like about Verbit are its user-friendly interface, accurate ASR, and customer-oriented approach. I use it every day; it's integrated into our system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Verbit does not offer a peer-to-peer service; you need to sign a contract in order to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At Bisk, we have quite a few accounts with Verbit and use it across several departments. The most helpful features for my department, which is Marketing, is being able to rapidly upload, transcribe, and timestamp student testimonials. Verbit's so easy, and after minimal training anyone on the cross-funtional team can contribute to the ingesting and extraction of useful pieces of the testimoninals to deploy across channels. We use Verbit frequenty, and now even more to access the new AI features. Specifically, we've seen a lot of value in the 'Summarize' feature that has been surprisingly accurate and useful. The AI tools have been especially easy to integrate into our existing documentaion workflow for student spotlights and testiminals. We havent had a need to interact with Verbit's Customer Support reps yet, but I suppose that's a good thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I see several areas of opportunity for Verbit. The UX takes a bit getting used to. I think all of the features are there, but it's not always clear where things are or what they do. The new AI tools have been helpful, but the UI is clunky and it feels like the team may be missing out on features solely because they can't find them. There are quite a few icons strewn throught the UI and it would be helpful to have them consolidated to a menu, or centralized area, and paired with text to improve the accessibility and usability of the app. Lastly, it's jarring when a lengthy transcript isnt spaced out in a way that makes it digestible. I think, with the AI integrations, that natual language proccessing can aid in naturally breaking up transcripts into digestible segments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Verbit Live is an excellent service for institutions that need 508 compliant level close captioning for life events, such as college courses and meetings. It has an easy to use interface and excellent tech-support response time the thing I like the most is my students get a simple email link sent to them 30 minutes before their class automatically which allows them to login and see a full page of live streaming captions in real time. They can also download the transcript at any time after their meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
if Verbit had an app that the student could use to activate their captions, and thus avoid having to have the instructors need to let the captioner into every session, this would really improve the service. instructors are the biggest barrier to providing consistent captions as they are still too uncomfortable with changing technology. It provides our team with a point solution in lieu of having a closed captioning service. The product is fairly intuitive to use with several options for captioning. Another plus is the support chat that is live-staffing the portal to assist with any questions, configurations, etc.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not an option to have live captions that are powered by a human representative when you are using the RTMP solution. This poses a problem for our event scope being that we are looking for the clearest possible closed captions inline with what our presenters say. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On top of the excellent customer service, Verbit is easy to use and easy to integrate with our other systems, and they offer a wide range of services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thus far, I have not found anything to dislike about Verbit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm able to commuincate with Verbit to find the best way to meet my needs.
The turn arounds are pretty decent and as I keep using it the transcript becomes more in my perferences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As starting off the transcript doesn't always meet the needs.
Sometimes the accucary isn't always on point and when the finish product is done. It feels like there's more time spent in fixing the transcript and getting it to be wha you want.
I wish also, DCR file able to be uploaded for transcription, so channel can be isolated well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
