The gamification of the entire learning process makes it easier and faster to learn. Creating leaderboard gives each individual the competitive boost to frequently come back to the site and finish their courses or any other activities, which helps the user to be consistent and make the process fun as well. Pretty much none of them I dislike. Just maybe the job portal could have more variety of jobs offered, which can help new and upcoming designers get decent job. Uxcel provides a wide selection of excellent courses and educational programmes. I saw the challenges that were more like those in the real world as the cherry on top. Although I like Uxcel's self-paced learning approach, there isn't an integrated component that allows you to connect with mentors or other students. With a community or mentorship element, this platform might be helpful for self-paced learners, particularly newcomers who might run into difficulties and need advice. For a more comprehensive educational experience, I want to see these collaborative aspects added to the platform in the future. With recent changes at my work I found myself transitioning from Technical Writing to UX Writing and UX design.

I already had some experience but wanted to learn more so I could adapt and excel at my new role.

I tried a free lesson and right away purchased a whole year. That's how much I liked it.

I love the following things:

- Short focused lessons

- Easy to save important things for later reference

- High quality information and sources

- Awesome interface

- The iOS app is great for learning everywhere

- The certificates are recognized in my company and apparently everywhere

Not everything is available from the app. I mostly use my cellphone to learn in Uxcel and the fact I can't access things like the skill chart is annoying.

Additionally, in the app, there are no clear cues that tell me there's another option when I'm making a test so I have to scroll by counting the options, and sometimes the timer is covering the text of an answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Already from a designer's persective I thorouhgly appreciate the clean interface that Uxcel has. It is easy to find what you're looking for, they have a helpful universal search, and each page is easily readable and digestible.

Like I mentioned, the gamification aspect can be fun, and I understand the idea of 'challenges' especially when you sign up with your team - though sometimes I feel this has the opposite affect on me then what the Uxcel intended. Sometimes I get competitive and it motivates me to get on and practice, but sometimes if I've fallen behind that week due to a busy work week, I feel as if I've been slacking off, etcetera. This isn't necessarily anything that Uxcel did wrong, but just a note that this kind of method works for certain people, so just be aware of that. :)

The questions on your assessment to see what level you're at/develop your skill graph also seems to be luck of the draw. Some assessments I'll have really easy questions, and some I'll have questions with concepts I've never heard of it. Uxcel is my favorite way to learn and brush up on design principles. The material is presented in short form cards with a casual exam format, prompting users to thinking criticallly before being presented with additional context and qualifying evidence. The format makes it quite easy to do it a every day, taking just 5 minutes or less to maintian a streak and make measurable progress. There is a great community avalibable through Discord as well.

I quite enjoy the visual way questions are proposed with the short paragraphs following. It helps both me learn, and also junior designs who I work with. I have often shared my screen and gone through a lesson or two to educate a team member on design principles relevant to designs we discuss. However, after using Uxcel for approaching 2 years now, there is not an infinite amount of content. There are some infinite, arcade style challenges available, but these will not provide enduring value for most people. However, I do still go back to lesssons and visuals for occasional reference. There are also design challenges, many of which I haven't done, as I disagree with the critieria with which they can be graded and are completely subjective to the reviewer.
