Top Rated Userbrain Alternatives

Even if you already have experience with user tests, you will be extremely positively surprised by Userbrain. You quickly and accurately get exactly the insights and findings that not even a team of experts could provide for 100 times the price. Incredibly valuable and detailed. To be honest, I can't see any point of criticism - I'm happy to recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Userbrain has always been incredibly easy to use, and very good value. It has enabled us to quickly & effectively get feedback & input on prototypes, surveys, questionnaires & more. But more recently, their Mobile App feature has been an absolute game changer. This allows us to record a users device screen & microphone during a test, giving us a tremendous ability to instantly & quickly test REAL app features without having to design & prototype an elaborate test.
Great customer support, intuitive & highly usable platform. I'm VERY pleased with Userbrain and would strongly recommend it to any other teams trying to supercharge their user research / UX efforts. Implementation is about as easy as can be, require simple setup from site. My team and I use Userbrain typically at least once a week, and sometimes up to 5-10 times a week. Integrating prototypes, links, images, etc is super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At times, the quality of the responses can be realtively poor. Due to disinterest or inability to give descriptive feedback from some testers, or tech / tool issues, with poor recording quality, background noise etc. But those cases are rather rare, and IF there's been issues with the recording or the tester, Userbrain will immediately refund the issue to make it right. There could also be better organized workspace, project folders, and historic activity of each user on the team. Things can easily get a little confusing & disorganized with a few different collaborators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using it in the team for a long time. Since October 2023, we have been pushing the integration of user testing into our processes - so we use it almost weekly.
I am most impressed by the following three things:
1. ease of use - the interface is particularly user friendly. The tests are very easy and intuitive to create.
2. quick results - most videos come within less than 24 hours! For the sake of accuracy: this applies to German-language tests. I have no experience with English-language tests.
3. the AI analyzing feature - this is the best feature introduced in summer 2023! It makes evaluation so much easier. We have become massively faster. The evaluations directly within the videos are also very helpful (e.g. for sharing with a timestamp).
Customer support is also always very friendly, helpful and fast.
Implementation: we use it as a stand-alone tool. However, we provide the evaluations directly in FigJam Boards.
Integration: as it is a stand-alone tool, there was nothing to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest: no dislikes. We are very satisfied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Have used others like Userbrain but the platforms weren't nearly as usefriendly and stable. We did not encounter a single technical issue with Userbrain in the full year we used their services. Customer service was also second to none. We had tried many others as we were not bound but any sort of contracts. Almost a pay as you go type method. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't really anything negative to say about this company. I guess the only thing that comes to mind was the feeling that the usability testers weren't always adequately compensated for the amount of time they'd spend on some tests. Otherwise a platform I cannot complain about at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Userbrain makes it super easy to immediately jump into getting user insights without going throught the whole rigmarole of meeting with the sales team, going through lengthy contract negiotiations, etc. Primarily, it's very easy to use and set up tests (especially unmoderated tests!) and there are resource libraries available.
Userbrain has allowed me and my team to dig right into testing freuently and getting valuable insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything in particular that I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using UserBrain since 8 years, with a 2-year gap where we switched to UserTesting.com at a time where we needed more features that weren't available in UserBrain at the time like screener questions, ability to do highlight reels, etc...
For cost reasons we went back to UserBrain, but we were happy to discover that they are now shipping new features very rapidly and are now really competing with more advanced user testing solutions, the only feature we're missing is the ability to do highlight reels / clippings, but it is something they are working on and should arrive soon.
I'm really impressed by the AI notes that are generated automatically and the AI-powered reports, it's starting to be very useful to quickly jump to the most interesting segments of the tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe they've made some changes to their pricing to fix this, but I'm still unsure if my credits will roll-over or not if I downgrade or pause my plan, and if they will ever expire or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Userbrain is designed to be a simple and user-friendly platform, allowing you to set up usability tests quickly. You can reportedly create a test in minutes and get feedback within hours. Compared to other user testing options, Userbrain can be a more affordable solution, especially if you only need to conduct occasional tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Userbrain doesn't offer built-in video editing tools. You'll need to export clips and use separate software to edit them together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Userbrain is easy to use, has great features and outstanding customer support. Overall, very happy with this tool for my user testing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There should be more options for downloading the test Report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have found their customer support team especially outstanding - they have acted on my case promptly, and I have managed to gather testing results in almost no time after their support.
I also found their AI analysis tool useful which optimised our workflow massively.
Thanks team ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could have been more easier to invitate our my own testers (e.g. bulk/automated email invitation feature). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doing usability tests always meant a lot of work in finding the correct users to test, coordinating their availability, managing changes, etc. With UserBrain, we don't have to care about this! Usability testing is all about your app — full focus on creating the test and analyzing the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is hardly anything to dislike. We have chosen a bad strategy in terms of pricing and subscriptions, but this is mostly on us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
