In our line of business, we work with numerous SaaS sales teams, both for our clients and ourselves. It’s rare to encounter such an engaged leader (in the sales process) who genuinely takes the time to listen to customers one-on-one. A good sign.
We've been with Uptime.com for around six months now, and that level of commitment is really evident in the product; our experience is one of a robust and reliable platform very capable of monitoring our entire estate (including now third-parties).
Lots of SaaS products have roadmaps and feedback tools but often it feels like lip service. Not the case here. You actually feel like using those mechanisms because they are suitably responded to and moreover actioned where appropriate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When we signed up there were a couple of items missing from our list (IRM/On-Call). Okay for us because they were in the roadmap and we could wait. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find most valuable about Uptime.com is its comprehensive reporting. Having the detailed uptime, downtime and performance trends stats have been very useful in spotting ongoing issues and fixing them before they get out of hand. Having historic data has allowed us to feel more informed and strategic in our decisions, as we are actually able to see what’s going on with our website’s health. As a result, we’ve been able to tackle problems by being proactive instead of reacting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One weakness of Uptime.com is that the reporting can sometimes be too detailed for quick checks. It’s great for in depth analysis, but it can be too much noise in just need a quick snapshot of your website’s status. People who enjoy a more simple approach would benefit from reports that are more streamlined or customizable views. By doing this we will be able to deal with the current situation without getting stuck in non relevant data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is great to see how Uptime.com tracks our websites and notifies me immediately when the sites go offline. This has helped us to respond quickly, thus curtaining enormous inconveniences. Furthermore, performance analysis tools are very useful to detect minor defects that, if left unaddressed, may ultimately evolve into major concerns. Integration with Slack ensures that we are able to directly alert the members and can act without any delay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Something I don’t like about Uptime is how it sometimes sends out false alerts, stating that it’s down when everything is ok. This disrupts our workflow as we’d have to manually verify if the issue is real. The tailoring for alerts could be more flexible as well, particularly when seeking to refine and refine what alerts we want. Slack integration is nice but integrating with other platforms isn’t quite as easy or intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part of Uptime.com I think is extensive features it offers as it has great reporting and monitoring facilities. It feeds me realtime data quite often and helps me to stay abreast of our system’s health. The specific reports are very helpful in enhancing the functionality of our site. I can say integrating with Uptime.com was easy and now it is an integral part of my work to ensure systems are up and running without any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I did not like in Uptime.com is that some of your features take time before you can understand their operations. It took a little while to understand all the detailed reporting options available with the basic templates of the tools. This has somewhat reduced our performance regarding the exploitation of all options the software offers, which slightly inhibits performance metrics tracking. Ideally, tutorials or some onboarding material are more available to make the process a little quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thus, the major advantage of using Uptime.com as far as I am concerned is the fact that this platform can help conduct a wide ranging monitoring of our website and its availability. The software does a good job of working hand in hand with our Slack while giving immediate notifications for us to handle problems. The easily navigated platform and extended options for analytics allow us to promptly detect issues before their complexity increases, which contributes to making our site as open and accessible for users as possible. There is one disadvantage of using Uptime.com – its costs could be a little high for some small business or startups. This has been a hurdle for us while trying to fight low budget while at the same time ensure that monitoring is efficiently conducted. Further, the usability and looks are good but not very modern and an occasional novice may feel that navigation is not very easily possible. At times, it has also become inconvenient to easily obtain the desirable functionality at a faster rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, Uptime has one brilliant feature – the ability to monitor resources in real time and display alerts. This capability is very essential to ensure that any challenges with the website are detected early enough to avoid or reduce their impact. The integration of this platform with our communication tools which are Slack and PagerDuty helps our team to be on top of the incidents. Further, the analytics and reporting tools give long term performance trends that help the management to make better decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Amongst the negatives of Uptime, it is slightly hard to set up under startup but it is due to the complexity of monitoring tools. It was somewhat confusing as to the settings to adjust the application to be able to give heads up and convert into the reports we wanted. Also, the pricing can be a little on the high side especially for the small business firms and hence can be a bit restrictive. These aspects have sometimes cause a drag in our implementation process and complicating the decision making when it comes to setting our budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Uptime.com is easy to use and comes equipped with a powerful set of functions that I enjoy. The real time monitoring is great as it notifies me immediately when our site is down. Slack integration means that I receive notifications in the team’s channel, so we always stay informed. Customer support is excellent and is always there to help when needed. This software has also helped to bring down time taken to address some problems to ensure that our site is back to normal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A disadvantage of Uptime.com is that it generates occasional false alarms and this causes stress. Such notifications have interfered with my work schedule and have made me lose focus by having to check phantom issues that do not exist. Also, some functionalities are missing when using the mobile app in comparison with the desktop version, thus I am less efficient when away from my workplace. Somewhat, these issues detract from the reliability and ease of use of the applications, our work efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’d say that the primary strength of Uptime is the fact that it’s very easy to use. This is because monitoring and alerting are very easy to configure, than invoking the entire process. We integrated it with Slack so that we receive all notifications straight in our communication app, which is very convenient. From check list to check type to detailed reports, it is hard for issues to come and bite us when there are so many features available. This has enhanced our operations through better integration and easy use of the interrelated parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A weakness of Uptime is the false alarms that it provides, regarding downtime. Such fake alerts may cause us to get stressed and waste time in checking what in reality is not an issue at all. Further, despite the availability of so many features, it becomes quite challenging to handle all of them and optimize their function to the maximum. This has to some extent created ambiguity and hitches in the effort to understand things, which affects productivity at one point or another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been customers of Uptime for four years now, and we are delighted with the service offered. Its main features are the flexibility - guaranteed by many executable test types - the ease of use (you don't need to be an engineer to use the platform), and the peace of mind you get knowing that a serious and reliable company monitors your services.
