It is too early to say what to dislike about Unravel Data, but still, it lacks certain documentation and community to solve custom things to build upon, but seeing the progress of the tool it is going to get better over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unravel Data is used for its recommendation engine to optimize the cost of data bricks clusters. It provides the details to understand the issues within the spark code such as bad joins, bottlenecks, skewness, data spills. Unravel doesn`t show all the recommendations correctly especially when you have to scale down the spark cluster. Also, the cost provided by Unravel doesn`t include the discounts provided by a cloud vendor to the companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unravel tools provide the recommendation for your databricks cluster used for the daily workload. It provides information on the job run logs, the cost of each job, the configuration of jobs, and events logs. Its spark recommendation under the analysis tab is useful to save the cluster cost, downgrade the cluster, and resolve the issues like data spills, bad joins and others. Unravel is a very good platform for monitoring and optimizing cloud service. We use this platform for monitoring the DataBricks service. This tool record all the logs and shows them on the dashboard. This Platform also recommends optimization ways like cluster optimization and code optimization. We can also set up a budget for cloud service and set the alert if any service utilized over budget. Sometimes dashboard loads slowly but it can be slove by increasing the size of VM Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In addition of the individual jobs, such as Spark, Impala, Hive, I like the reports that provide high level view of the jobs in a given cluster, such as small file report, top X job reports, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are still issues in terms of missing certain type of jobs somet times, such Impala metrtics, still have Small Files report not right. We are in the process of upgrading to the Unvavle v4.7.x and and the processes seems to be slow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unravel helps to analyze the spark jobs ran over a period of time. It has features to monitor the spark bottlenecks, bad joins, spillings , shuffling. It recommendition helps to save cost by fixing the issues, downgrading the driver or workers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
