Top Rated Trint Alternatives
Automatic transcription is fantastic - it works in the background so I can move onto my next task in the meantime. It is so easy to create transcripts of everything, making admin and notes a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really. The transcription is set to US English by default - I would prefer British English. It is sometimes slow to load a transcript. More languages would be great - such as Irish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Second to none transcription in my two main languages (English and French). Its ability to transcribe cpations is great too. All-in-one tool, no need to go to Premiere for subtitles, more convenient than word for basic audio transcription, does a wonderful job of identifying speakers. Great online editing too and very convenient mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price tag is really high like all SaaS tools, it starts cheap and then prices go up and one day you wake up and look at your bills and you are shell-shocked when you realise how much it costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's the best out there so they pretty much have a monopoly to the service. The service honestly should cost less but they're doing a pretty good job so far too so no complaints there either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest one we really dislike about it is the speed. It literally takes awhile before transcribing something. It would have been okay at the start, but by now, they should have already upgraded their servers and made the whole process a lot faster. Another thing I don't find intuitive is the lack of Drag and Drop feature. I have to click a button to import an audio to be transcribed. Why no direct Drag and Drop feature at all? It makes a lot of sense and it will definitely make the users' lives easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Trint for about 4 years. Often, the individuals I interview have international accents -- not your typical Midwestern drawl. But Trint often understands words that I wasn't able to listening to the actual audio. That has really impressed me and made my job a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have some industry terms that are used frequently that Trint doesn't know, so I always have to change them. I wish there was an AI aspect that -- once I've changed it once or twice -- would automatically begin to recognize those terms. Trint sometimes has trouble recognizing the different speaker voices if more than 1 person is in the recorded conversation, so I have to change the speaker name frequently when reviewing a transcript. That's annoying but not usually a big problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Trint can seem really expensive, relative to other transcription services but it's genuinely worth every cent, to me. I'm a freelance journalist and in some ways it's an insane luxury item to be paying for but I'd say I can do twice or maybe three times the amount of work I could without Trint, by using it. Even just being able to throw files into it to come back to, knowing that they're organised and searchable, means I can make so much more of every interview I get. Takes every car launch or 4-hour presentation and turns it into something I can reference back to easily, especially as something I can carry on my mobile phone. Some of the interface can be slightly clunky but it's mostly that I use it so much I get muscle memory of how to do things and then am surprised by something moving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially - outstanding value for the automated transcription service. Usage tracked by uploaded files. Easy, simple to track usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Revised billing / usage tracking. One uploaded / transcribed file was charged each time the existing transcription was duplicated using Trint tools. Said charges were NOT disclosed in TOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is designed to work with Avid MC - which often is a particular software to work with - and it works! I like the translation options and the word- export Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Trint is often slow (server) and to return to a previous level does not work - a return by arrow or step back takes me to the top project level and I have to go all the way back to the clip I am working with
Translations into English, German, Spanish have worked
Some other languages deliver poor results

I like the ability to slow down recordings or speed them up so I can make corrections easier. I also like that clicking somewhere in the transcription automatically takes the audio to that part of the recording. I wish it could pick up lower voices or mumbled words better. Sometimes after I set speaker one and speaker 2, it jumbles them up later in the document as I edit transcriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part about Trint is being able to transcribe any files that you have. There is not a limit on the amount that you can transcribe per month, which is great. I love being able to click a word on my transcription and be able to listen to the audio file in real-time as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much that comes to mind! I've tried so many transcription services that are so limiting and Trint does such a fabulous job! The platform could be updated a bit to improve the user experience a bit to make it more modern, but other than that, the platform is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We rely on Trint to help us work smarter and not harder. I like how easy it is to use and how accurately it transcribes our interviews. Working on transcripts can be tedious, but this significantly reduces the time it takes to edit our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to a transcription service, Trint requires additional editing on the back-end, but that hasn't been an issue for us. It would be helpful if Trint could remove repeated phrases or words that don't contribute meaning/weight to the text: ok, right?, you know, etc. We're satisfied overall and definitely would recommend this product. Extremely fast transcription. Very easy to edit and export. Easy to keep projects organized in different folders. With the highest subscription level, unlimited amount of transcripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few little bugs around naming speakers. And I haven't yet figured out how to process multi-lingual interviews. Also, a little expensive if you don't use it constantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
