Our company is currently switching from another HRM to Vista and so far the process has gone so smoothly. The ample resources and online trainings are much appreciated. Vista is easy to navigate and customize to our organizations needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not having state W-2s already in the onboarding process like the federal W-2 is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system works well for multiple entities and consolidated WIP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a very back-office feel. The data entry screens are unforgiving and must be completed in order to continue to the next field. This difficulty lead us to abandon Spectrum for inventory and service work order management after spending thousands extra working with Professional Services to make invoices and reports that worked for our industry.
The standard reports are not useful. You can pay to take the classes to learn how to edit them in Crystal reports. I generally use MS Query and make my own. Spectrum doesn't have the various AIA pay applications or certified payroll reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vista is a very capable all-inclusive construction management software. It can do anything you want and the service/help is nothing short of fantastic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's difficult for a medium sized business to pare down all of the features to just the ones that we need. It can get convuluted and confusing at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very user friendly compared to other construction software solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish we could to a double-screen session, but it only lets you use one screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spectrum is very intuitive. Plus there is a ton of help, tutorials and an online network of users to help you learn the software and expand your knowledge. The most robust package I've used to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using it for almost four years now and have not found anything that I really dislike. Just takes some time learning the processes and steps when billing and setting up tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vista allows us to see the big picture when it comes to operations and profitability. It is very user friendly and the transition from our previous system(s) was well orchestrated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does not integrate with all of our external systems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very easy to use and we have access to a lot of modules that help us stay organized Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be slow at times, but it is rare when this happesns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that it's a fully integrated Accounting and Project Management program Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the modules seem like they were built differently - takes a bit of getting used to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the speed probably the most, you can pretty much pull a report with tons of data and it will be loaded and ready in less than a minute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe the depth? It seems as if it has many layers with isn't necessarily a negative thing, it just means you have more to learn and understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Vista encompasses all aspects of accounting into one system forcing AP, AR, Purchasing, Payroll, Service, Tool Tracking and more to all sync. I have seen both sides where one company changed Vista very little out of the box and used Vista to enforce standard processes and work flows that could be incorporated with ISO and LEAN very easily. Another company customized everything. They added all sorts of new fields, tabs, reports and more. Since all of the data is in one place you can virtually create any report needed. If the data is there you can report on it. It is detail oriented but you can do as much with it as you are willing to put into it. It also has great security if needed. You can lock one role from updating or even seeing other roles as needed. And you can limit what jobs or details you want a specific user to get access to. You can even turn on auditing and tell who did what as needed to look back and see who changed that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The more you want the software to do the more detail oriented it becomes. It becomes a training issue that you have to teach your people to enter things correctly if the process is to flow smoothly. Vista is adding new features all the time but it still is a bit bulky. It is become more user friendly but it can still be a bit hard for new users to pick up.
