Trackstar Lean has a simple UI for both administrator and learning users to navigate and access courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Uploading presentations with audio and video is a big clunky, upload times may take a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very user friendly and easy to create modules and courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The automatic reminders are not always sent to remind employees of their training deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the modules, that build the course and the course automatically updates with the edited module. I like the reports that can be downloaded and that I can filter the trainees. I like the trainee groups which makes it easier to invite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like that the trainees and the courses or modules that are archived remain in the list. I'd rather they go to a separate list. I don't like that if there is only one module for the course then a course has to be created. I do not like that the users have to update their passwords and the administrator can not do anything to help the user if there is a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to see relationship between modules and courses.
Easy to upload a new module or modules, attach to a course, and then assign that course.
Bulk upload for new learners process was intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'll start off by saying that I used Mindflash at a company who was experiencing a lot of growth and change, and so some of these might just be things relating to our instance and how it was set up when I started:
Groups weren't made automatically and were confusing to navigate/edit. We ended up not even using them at all and always assigning to a group of individuals.
Though it is possible to assign to a group of individuals via Excel upload, doing so with just names and emails erases all other information about that user, so we couldn't do that.
When adding individuals to a course, archived users didn't show up...I realize for most orgs that wouldn't be an issue, but for me, it meant that I had to keep a separate list of those whose names I couldn't find and lol for them in users.
Reporting didn't always match up with itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is easy to use & manage.
The Support staff are FAST, helpful, and such a treat to interact with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly nothing. The tech does what I need to, and I have help when I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that mind flash give you the option to create quizes and test my staff. Mindflash helps me train new clinical staff. I upload modules and courses to assist me in training multiple individualds at the same time. I am also able to see the reports which show how many employees have taken the course and how many have failed and passed the course. I am also able to print out certificates and give to employees when they pass the course. I also like that employees are able to review the courses that they take as a refresser or reminder of how to do certain things. Also, being able to archive courses and users so that there are not still active is really hepful as well. I also enjoy being able to group users, this is helpful because as new hires are onboraded, I can send courses and modules to the group of new employees, instead of having to pick individual users our of a group of 500. I also like that you can add multiple modules to certain courses so it is all grouped together instead of individual modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion the only that that I dislike about Mindflash is sometimes the quiz sections the different scores. Sometimes my trainees pass the module, but fail the course so I feel the module and course grades should automatically be graded the same, instead of individual. Also, the automatic reminder emails that my employees get, they happen pretty often. I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the automatic emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Every problem has a solution, and Mindflash support ALWAYS has the answer. There hasn't been a single issue they haven't been able to resolve for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The front end could use a facelift. I think it's lacking some substance. However, our members are there to learn, not to be impressed with fancy graphics, so this isn't a gripe by any means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
